No goals. No expectations. No details on usage or plans. Income? Budget? Anything?
So sure.
It's a fantastic idea while simultaneously terrible. It's the most indifferent response of the third Tuesday of October I can give. I think coatco hot dogs are good and you should buy this car because ketchup is spicy lol.
Happy to help, but work with us maaan

You really shouldn’t need all that information to say if it’s a good deal or not. I make 92k/year, live in Bay Area ca so high cost of living, have a 5 minute commute to work, want a nice car

You didn't say good deal. Cause then sure you can throw that into a calculator.
You said good idea. In which case if you want long term reliability hell no. If you want short term fun absolutely. So yes, I need details cause how can I tell you if it's a good idea if I don't know what gmyour personal version of an "idea" is.

Now that I have some details l can happily work with you.
Audi has questionable reliability (source being that I used to work as a mechanic at an Auto/VW shop) but since you are not financially struggling (so maintenance costs won't bankrupt you) and you have an insanely short commute (so minimal wear on a fragile car) this doesn't sound awful.
So if your goal is a nice toy like car, I'd say you are a fantastic candidate for that car (and I HATE Audi). So yes, good idea.
Good deal? I don't know? KBB can answer that for you better. Plus if you are worried about a deal, just get a Toyota cause lkng term it (statistically) will cost less than maintain and hold better value. (But now that I know your goals, I don't think this things matter so yeah, Audi should be fine)
Good luck!
