Throughout this entire situation, I always found the whole OMG Valko broke into MCs house and is supporting violence towards women to be the worst part. It really showed me that the antis don't actually care about women and were using something serious to stir up outrage. I thought that must be especially ridiculous 🙄 to people who have experienced that. In no way does a fictional character on a balcony talking to someone they know equal how you would feel in real life.

Well, unfortunately, I'm here to report. I now have first-hand experience 🙃.

*Important context, I'm currently sick and took way too much medicine. Your girlie is still a little bit floaty but was through the atmosphere when all of this happened.

I'm sick, so I took some medicine and stayed home. Everyone else left, so there were no cars. Our neighbors were also out. I woke up to loud noises downstairs, voices, a phone ringing, and someone knocking things over. I called my mother, thinking she had come back early and ready to complain about the noise. She was at my aunts. They could both hear the noise through the phone and started to panic.

Here's where the context comes in. Guys, I really just closed and locked my bedroom door. Then, I went back to sleep. Now, I realized I also hung up the phone. 🙃 But my mother rushed back home to find all the doors open and freaked out. My aunt was also panicking and really afraid for my safety. Anyway, they were gone by the time she got back, probably heard me, and realized the house wasn't empty.

I'm pretty unbothered at the moment. Maybe I'll feel something else once the meds fully wear off.😌 But my mother is currently sitting armed with a bat watching the front door. She seems traumatized, and I think that hearing it through the phone might have been worse.

We're getting the locks changed tomorrow and safety supplies, so it should be ok. But all I can think about is how stupid the antis were for making light of this scenario. Tying something so traumatic to a game character because you're angry is just so dumb. It's just so disrespectful, and the fact that infold just folded to those people is pissing me off.

[Repost to carry new title and further evidence via mini experiment]

I have been having a really bad feeling since yesterday, and I’m genuinely worried about what’s happening with China’s new internet rules that kicked in on Sept 1. What I am seeing is affecting my current security studies research, and I am going to switch my area of study to reference Valko instead so you can see my concern.

Disclaimer: Now this is purely speculative but I think I have enough evidence to make me go on high alert.

On paper the new regulations are all about cracking down on fake news, group conflict, and misleading marketing but in practice, I think they’re pushing misinformation into more subtle, harder‑to‑catch forms.

What I’m already seeing are articles and posts that look super professional (see image above, reddit thread here, X post here) with clean layout, neutral tone, some with titles that seem to correct facts and look pro-Valko on the surface. But if you read closely, some of them are seeded with a misleading or outright false claim embedded in the middle, often about 731 and women's safety concerns. Last night too, a seemingly pro-Valko article popped up on China dot com but continues to hold the same 731/women's safety misinformation subtly weaved into a huge chunk of positive narratives.

I conducted a small exploratory experiment with DeepSeek (a Chinese AI company and AI model developer) by asking “Is Valko linked to 731 and women’s safety harm?” DeepSeek searched and synthesised 12 online China-based sources, and its response independently grouped the controversy into the same two narratives that "Yes. The controversy surrounding Valko (敖伊) is directly connected to both of these issues."

Going back to the China dot com article, it explicitly mentioned the same two core controversies (both on A-0731 and “引狼入室”) with the same exact framing of “试药记录A-0731” and the promotional wording “引狼入室”.

But I have to admit that there are limitations to my experiment. DeepSeek explicitly labels the two issues as “historical trauma” and “women’s safety,” whereas the China dot com article (again, citing a Sina Blog post and NOT written by the editorial team of China dot com) uses more news/commentary language. This suggests that AI can reproduce and consolidate recurring narratives from the online information environment, potentially reinforcing their association. However, my experiment does not establish that the AI created the narratives or that the content was deliberately coordinated or malicious.

Going back to what I want everyone to now start being critical to every source coming out of China, there is enough evidence showing how malicious actors are testing the law to bypass the new filters, This is really the grey area of the law as the new rules target clear fabrication and incitement, but borderline cases (eg. selective evidence, loaded framing, pseudo‑expert language) are harder to classify automatically. Actors can embed misleading claims inside otherwise compliant content to stay under the threshold for removal while still shifting the narrative to remain anti-Valko.

My big fear is that this isn’t just about fooling human readers within China but also outside of China. Once this stuff is all over the Chinese internet and mass published without detection or overlooked by happy Valko fans treating it as a win, all these data gets scraped into AI training data.

Studies already show that Chinese state‑media content is heavily represented in global datasets, and models are reproducing those narratives. That means the misinformation can pop up later in AI‑generated answers on X, Reddit, YouTube, even in English or Japanese, looking like neutral analysis. What is worse is that Global fans, while well-intentioned, are already spreading these same information into western platforms. This cycle then becomes worse than it is before.

A Chinese news outlet has also reported on 'AI poisoning'. What this means is a malicious actor can embed damaging claims in a “professional” article, let AI models learn and repeat them, and suddenly you’ve got a rumor that lives on in countless AI outputs across platforms with no clear origin. So, instead of cleaning things up, the new laws are actually inviting more insidious, polished forms of misinformation that will be circulating in our information ecosystems for a long time. Once the antis know how to abuse it (last night was a test), we are going to have a really hard and long battle from now on.

As usual, please be on high alert. Instead of celebrating every random pro-Valko content spawning from Chinese social media, please flag to the community so we can help investigate thoroughly. It only gets harder from today.

Hello, lilies! I've decided to throw my hat into the ring for the divination people have been doing regarding Valko, since I've been reading tarot cards for over a decade. I don't have pictures of the cards, sadly, but I'll write out everything. Long post incoming!

How is Infold/PPG currently feeling about Valko? • Ten of Wands rx
- Upright, this card is about crushing burdens. Reversed, I'd interpret it as relief from them. They're hopeful they can free themselves from the situation they're in and they're not seeing him as a burden anymore.

How do they feel about their current situation? • Temperance
- Balanced, synergized. Temperance is about alchemy and bringing together two opposites into one whole. I think this is referring to trying to appease both us Valkyries and the antis. To me, it seems they're confident they can do this.

How would they feel about releasing Valko in September? • Five of Swords rx
- This reads to me as "recovery after battle". I think this is them wanting to pick up the pieces after the conflict that's occurred. That said, I'd wager they're also nervous about the (basically inevitable) backlash.

How would they feel about releasing Valko in October? • Nine of Swords
- This card is typically about nightmares. Infold/PPG would hate releasing Valko in October!

How would they feel about releasing Valko before January? • Six of Wands rx
- The Six of Wands upright is about victory and praise, basically a picture of them at their peak. Reversed, and combined with the October card, I read this as "releasing Valko this late would feel like a total loss".

And then I did some further clarification on possible September timelines. I asked again, similarly to earlier, how they might be feeling about releasing Valko in September. I pulled the Hierophant, and to be sure, I pulled a clarifier, which happened to be The High Priestess.

Hierophant + HP together is basically a slam dunk. I initially interpreted the Hierophant as a sort of "rewarding one's faith". They're feeling confident enough in Valko's following to take action. The clarifier of the High Priestess (naturally connected to the Hierophant, who is also known as the High Priest) solidifies that faith. I think the outpouring of support for Valko has both emboldened them to think that releasing him will go well and that the Valkyries will step up when they do. We are the High Priestess that has been seeing behind the curtain.
(I also would take this to mean they're feeling a bit too proud of themselves for finally releasing Valko as a sort of "we did it, aren't you all happy?" which sounds very silly, but what do I know? :P )

I also did a spread of five cards to analyze this month as a whole as related to Valko.

Week 1: Seven of Pentacles rx
Week 2: Queen of Pentacles
Week 3: Two of Wands rx
Week 4: King of Swords rx
Overview: Page of Swords

- Week 1 is difficult on them, a lack of reward for the hard work they've put in. Probably reflecting Zaynie's birthday and the general bummer of their losses so far.
- Week 2 is hype! Monetary gain and emotional stability working together. This is a win for them, or at least the best they've been doing for a while.
- Week 3 is stressful. The twos are all about balance and choice. I think this is reflective of experiencing backlash. The expectation they have of being able to appease both sides of this conflict is not going to go as well as they want it to. They have to try to stick to their guns.
- Week 4 is similarly difficult. It's the most difficult card for me to interpret here of all the cards I pulled for this post. Regardless of what they end up doing, it seems like it won't quite meet their expectations/completely bring back the stability they want.
- Overview: The Page of Swords is about things like writing, communication, learning, messages... Meaningful information seems likely to come out this month. I read this as Infold/PPG benefitting from this month as a whole, but very much feeling like there are still mistakes they need to learn from.

TL;DR: I'm in agreement with all the hopium and theories! I think they're announcing and/or releasing Valko between Sept. 7th-14th. That said, September is the line in the sand. If they don't release him this month, they're screwed.

So when Valko comes back, do we think they will drop trailers before hand? Or do we think they will just shadow drop him and his first banner together? Also to add to that, do we think we will get any form of apology and recognition? Or do we think they will just pretend nothing happened? Honestly with Inflops reputation rn I could see it going either way

I really think those who have made the possibility of a September multibanner their deadline need to prepare themselves for a major letdown, because a September return for Valko is looking highly unlikely based on what we actually know right now. Valko was cancelled on June 30. Since then, Infold hasn't communicated with the boycotters, acknowledged the boycott in any meaningful way, announced that the cancellation has been reversed, or given us any indication that Valko is being prepared for an upcoming return. There hasn't even been a hint that he's going to be included in the next multi-banner.

At some point, we have to separate what we want to happen from what there's actually reason to expect. It's not realistic to assume Infold is going to suddenly plunk Valko into a September multi-banner simply because people have decided that September is the deadline. Wanting him back and believing that he should be brought back are completely valid. But neither of those things mean that Infold is actually going to do it on our preferred timeline.

If September is your personal deadline, then you might as well start preparing yourself for the possibility of leaving now rather than spending the entire month building up unrealistic expectations for a comeback that hasn't been announced or hinted at. I don't say that to discourage anyone from fighting for Valko. If anything, I'd rather people protect themselves from an unnecessary emotional crash out when or if the suspected September multi-banner comes and he's not there.

It’s perfectly understandable if September is your exit point, especially for your own mental health. However, if you do decide you’re done with the game at a certain point, you don’t need to announce your departure or go scorched earth on the way out. Some people are going to keep fighting for Valko’s return after September, and that’s okay. You can step away without drowning out the voices of the people who still want to advocate for his return, even if the boycott isn’t as loud as it was before.

ETA: Thanks to the user below who articulated exactly what I was trying to say above. When I said, “you don’t need to announce your departure,” I meant you don’t need to make doom posts about leaving, which drowns out and discourages others who want to stay and keep fighting for Valko. And when I said, “don’t go scorched earth,” I meant don’t become full anti and push for EOS. Some of us are still going stay and fight for Valko, and we need him to have a home to come back to.

Personally, I’m not going anywhere just because September comes and goes without him. The antis want us to give up on the boycott early and leave the fandom so they can go back to enjoying the game without hearing about Valko anymore. I’m not giving them that satisfaction. For me, it’s no Valko, no money. No Valko, no peace. I’ll keep advocating for his return until the wheels fall off, and I won’t shut up about him because that’s exactly what they want us to do.

Since its September, I get fans are excited and in need of news. I get we all have been suffering for two months and want this to end. I want it too.

But we have to tone it a bit down. Cool our heads. I've seen a rise of rumours/fake leaks getting viral, and people getting excited for something that sadly is edited or has no sources. We know a lot of people is capable of editing stuff to get some views or likes.

Be critical with everything you see on social media that doesnt come from Infold. We dont know what is happening or will happen, so maybe we shouldnt trust a random screenshot that swears Valko will be back tomorrow. Not only to keep us away from despair, also to keep us away from misinformation and a "we dont know what is true anymore" situation.

Setting deadlines also isnt healthy. Yes, maybe for a lot of us this month is the max we can wait, but setting a "he comes back this day" is just getting ready to get disappointed.

We all want him back, but we also should be realistic and not forget about taking care of ourselves.

Someone referenced this link about Infold hiring a mocap actor who needed to use dumbbells in the hiring process. This was posted in the LaDs subreddit a year ago.

However, the person is 187 cm whilst valko is 189.

If it really was for valko despite the height diff, then it would contradict that valko was rushed. Does anyone know more about this?
