Our family recently moved to Iowa from California and only used to shop at Walmart for the prices alone. Our local Iowan Walmart felt like a huge upgrade.

Firstly, our Walmart keeps the shelves nicely stocked and was much, much cleaner than our Californian Walmart. It was "Target" organized, and made us able to identify and purchase items easier. It didn't look like a tornado hit our store!

Secondly: Holy cow! Certain Walmart items we identified were less than half the price of the initial price. Dude Wipes! The exact same thing at more than half the price. Fleur de Sel! I couldn't believe Walmart caught up and recognized that this was this was a favorite (and fancy) salt and, again, was sold at half the price. Face scrub and moisturizers? CeraVe and Neutrogena items sold at half price! Our store sold some items I would ordinary buy at full price. This was refreshing.

Lastly, and the best part of our experience was Tori: the woman who checked us out. California was sometimes a very rude experience. I'm a disabled veteran, and the last thing I need is added stress. I'm very rarely so impressed during checkouts. She created real and kind dialogue. I guess they consider it "Iowa nice," but she very much exemplified that niceness. It ended our pleasant shopping day (buying shoes from Famous Footwear, luggage bags, getting food out).

A store that doesn't look like there was a dumpster tossed all over the place, startling prices that honestly amazed me, and an "Iowa nice" checkout where Tori created actual dialogue:

This is a question for anyone who cancelled a delivery and then had the bank still process the amount, even though Walmart said they lifted the hold amount. What did you have to do to get the money refunded to your checking account? Who was responsible for the mistake--Walmart or your bank?

Problem: Placed a Walmart + delivery order in mid July. Paid using my bank debit card. Cancelled the order due to bad weather. Saw later that even though Walmart is showing the order was cancelled, the bank still processed the hold amount.

Walmart said weeks ago they cancelled the hold. Have repeatedly contacted bank using their online messaging service for a specific transaction. They said they were checking it out.

Finally today, they say Walmart has to contact them about the matter since they didn't release the hold. Walmart says they can't do so again since the order was cancelled and the hold amount cancelled.

I ordered two items in electronics. They were both in my cart at the same time. When I went to check out the checkout page split my order. I was charged a fee for having an order under thirty five dollars.

I chatted with a human online on their "chat with us" page. They did not have the option to reverse the fee. They were quite apologetic, but it's a flaw in the ordering system on the website.

I told her that I will have to rethink ordering from Walmart again or staying a Walmart+ customer. Now that I am here and I'm reading some of the

problems with Walmart+ I'll probably drop it.

I want to add that i've been buying items off walmart dot com without being a member for a couple of years. I never encountered any problems before. But i've also never ordered this high value of an order before either. I just paid the fee. I was trying to save money by signing up for walmart +

I've been a walmart+ member for about 2 years. I accept that sometimes a bag or item goes missing, and it happens at about a 25% order rate usually for me. It's annoying but whatever. Well I had an order delivered yesterday with about $50 worth of food and some bubble wrap and cardboard boxes because we're packing up our guest room/home office and storing a lot of the non furniture in our shed. So I get the delivery notfication and literally the only thing delivered were the cardboard boxes. I thought maybe our groceries were stolen in the two minutes between when the spark driver delivered the order and I got to the front door? No. I looked a the delivery photo and my ring. He only delivered the boxes. No food. No bubble wrap. I know the walmart employees don't always give them the bags, I know things get confused when they have mulitiple deliveries, but wtf? This was stuff like eggs, canned pumpkin, some frozen breakfast sandwiches. Not really high value stuff. I'm curious what everyone thinks happened? This was at least two bags of groceries so I don't think this was just an innocent mistake. I usually don't fault the drivers but it's hard to here. I needed the stuff last night so I just did a target pickup instead because there were no delivery slots without a fee and customer service wouldn't waive it. I was refunded for the missing items but jfc.

I’ve been pretty lucky with Walmart plus delivery and all the time I’ve used them. I’m handicapped so rely on grocery delivery completely. After a few minor hiccups with items, I found that the best plan for me was to pay the five dollars for three hour delivery fee so that I had a shopper who brought the items.

This morning placed an order which was no different than any other order I place and I chose five dollars for three hours. Was told it would be delivered by 9:30 AM. Usually about halfway through it tells you that somebody is shopping your order and gives you that person‘s name. They will text you if something is wrong similar to Instacart fashion, and then check out and deliver the order. Never had a problem with that system. This morning the delivery deadline hits and then I get a message saying that the order is delayed and I should get it within 45 minutes.

I called Walmart’s customer service number and they have this incredibly stupid AI now - it’s a female voice that they try to make sound real, with a valley girl accent. Absolutely ridiculous. Finally got through to a live rep. The AI was telling me I would get my order by 11 PM tonight (!!). He confirmed it. Said I could cancel my order and put it in for later today which I could not do for a couple of reasons. Had to wind up canceling the whole order. He said they’re having a problem getting drivers and they are in the process of hiring more. Anyway just venting because now I’m going to have to either use Instacart and pay more or Amazon which will still take at least another three hours. He did send me a small gift card for what that’s worth. I had just never had this happen before so it was a bit surprising.

I wonder if the seal tastes like corn too...

This is the 250th American Anniversary bottle. I got it from Walmart. The water in it is nothing special.

I purchased a Weber grill at a pretty decent discount because it was the floor model. They were equally discounting all floor models. There was a piece that was popped off that I thought I could just snap back in, but was actually broken. When I contacted Weber, they said the part is not covered under warranty because it was a floor model. The part cost me $78.

Is it reasonable to ask Walmart customer service for a partial refund to cover the cost of the part? I know you expect imperfections on floor models, but broken parts is beyond an imperfection. I also don’t want to look like an idiot if this is very far off base.

I placed an online order on 8/14/2026 in Maryland and it was cancelled 5 minutes later due to "unexpected error" I spent $314 on my EBT and $30 on my debit. I got my debit back but not my EBT. I called EBT and there was no hold but it was posted, and I did a dispute. Walmart Tells me to wait 10 business days and i still haven't received it. I called the supervisor and they are escalating it but that can take 14 days! Meanwhile I have NO food in house for my kids and I am freaking out. They will not help and just keep sending me in circles. I contacted the ethics dept, BBB and social media but it is still not helping me feed my kids in the immediate time I need to feed them! Meanwhile I don't have a car to get to any pantries near me. I am losing my mind crying all day!

Saw this little gem on Instagram.

I purchased this 8TB gaming HDD for backing up files. It was on sale so I figured it was a great deal. Didn’t realize it was an open box until after I left the store (my fault). I immediately plugged it in and this is what I saw. ~250GB on the drive, far from the advertised 8TB (8000GB)! Turns out someone bought it, swapped it and returned it, and Walmart put it back on the shelf. Be weary of these returned drives! With the price of data these days they will become much more prevalent.

I took it to Walmart to return and asked to see a manager. Employee at return desk had me explain what was going on first. She seemed a bit confused and didn’t seem concerned much about this happening. She insisted Walmart checks items before listing for sale again but ended up just refunding the drive after I explained about the internals being swapped. I never did get to speak to a manager, so no idea if it will be put back on the shelf or not. Be cautious out there!

I can’t remember having missing items when it was the employees shopping thr grocery delivery order. Now, that it’s a third party, I’m missing a third of my order.

Is there a way to get my order shopped by Walmart? A certain time or amount to order? Anything else? Thank you!

You're not a club store. I don't have to wait in your stupid line so you can "check my receipt."

If you suspect us all when we're just trying to buy some food, I suggest more cashiers, so you're sure no one is stealing.

Just got Walmart+ on a promo deal and it’s been terrible so far.

First order ever, I get no groceries, just a drill and basic things to go with it. What arrives at my door? 6 glass vases. No name on the bags no anything, just empty glass vases. I go to report missing items and apparently the app doesn’t seem to comprehend the possibility of someone dropping off the wrong order at your house. I had to talk to the chat bot for 5 minutes to get to someone who finally agreed to a refund after I had to walk them through that I didn’t get a single item I ordered.

That order had one thing that was going to be same-day shipped and was not part of the store order that the first one was. This item has since been indefinitely delayed and I am awaiting updates on it.

After the refund hit, I thought why not try my original order again so I get the stuff that I need? Got it today and half of it is missing…back to the chat bot.

Seriously how do you mess up online ordering this bad in 2026? Amazon hasn’t given me the wrong item in 2 decades of ordering.

Is this a normal Walmart+ experience?

I'm in the Elkton, MD store for an oil change, and I also needed to buy a pair of cheap safety goggles to use with my new hedge trimmer. While waiting for my oil change, I went on the website to see if the price was reasonable, and I found what I needed for $3.26. I went to the aisle to get them and saw that the price was $3.38. Normally I only buy food in Elkton, because while it is only about 1.5 miles away, I live in Delaware where there is no sales tax. The New Castle, DE store is about 10 miles from my house, but I pass by it periodically, so if I want to buy something other than food at Walmart, I buy it there. But because this was something small and I wanted to test the hedge trimmer as soon as I got home, I was just going to pay the extra $0.20 in sales tax.

I knew that Walmart had some sort of price match policy. I did an online search and found it at https://corporate.walmart.com/askwalmart/does-walmart-price-match. The policy says "For items purchased in a Walmart U.S. store, we will match the price of the identical item advertised on Walmart.com. Restrictions apply" The restrictions didn't appear to apply to me. When I went to pay, I informed the cashier, she told me that the online price matching ended 3 years ago.

From what I'm reading now, it seemed that the cashier was wrong. I probably should have asked to speak to a manager. Being angry about this stupidity, I decided to order online and pick it up at the store. After ordering, I saw it would take several hours before I could pick it up. I wasn't going to wait around for it, I wanted it right away, and the 3 extra miles driving home and coming back later would cost more in gas than what I saved. So I cancelled the order, went back in the store, and purchased it for the higher price. When I got home, I went online to the Delaware store and ordered another one online, at the cheaper online price and no sales tax. I was going to pick it up at the store the next time I was passing by, but it said that they only hold it for 4 days and I didn't know if I could pick it up before then. I switched to delivery to see if there was a charge, and because I am a Walmart+ customer, it was free. (I only have Walmart+ because their $49 deal was cheaper than the cost of Peacock.) Once I get the goggles, I'll return it the next time I go to the Elkton store, using the Elkton receipt for the higher price.

So either because Walmart was trying to gouge me out of 12 cents, the cashier was stupid and/or untrained, management is incompetent and doesn't train their employees properly, or some combination of all 3, someone is going to have to go out of their way to deliver a pair of goggles to my house, then someone at the Elkton store will have to process my return, when I bring it back with the higher priced receipt. I suspect that the extra cost to Walmart will be more than the cost of the goggles.

It's nice to be able to order things online, but most of the time I prefer to go into the store to get what I want and maybe look around a little as well. I shouldn't be penalized with higher prices for doing that. Plus there are a lot of elderly people that are not computer literate and can't order online, and perhaps some poor people that don't have a computer and can't afford a cell phone or only have an old-school cell phone with text and calls only.

I normally go online to do price comparisons and/or to find out the price of something I'm looking to buy, to see where to buy it. If I'm in the store shopping, I don't typically go online to see if it's cheaper on the website. I think from now on, I might have to do that.

As a point of comparison, I had the same problem trying to buy the hedge trimmer at Lowe's yesterday, because when I went to the store to buy it, I found that the sale price was online only, and it was a special buy with a price difference of $80 ($49 vs. $129) as opposed to 12 cents. Once they found where the model I wanted was located (way up on top of the shelves), the process was a lot easier. I did have to purchase it online and select pickup from my phone while I was standing there next to the employee who was helping me. The difference was that when I went to the pickup desk to explain the situation and asked if they could expedite things so I didn't have to come back to the store, I was able to get the hedge trimmer about 5 minutes later. I was there when they took it down from the top shelf and they handed it to me. I asked for a receipt so I wouldn't be accused of stealing it when I walked out of the store, and he printed out a pickup sticker for me from the device he had on him.

Does FedEx drop off return get refunded immediately or when it get backs to the third party?

Pet arrived damage. It was shipped. Somebody folded and shoved in a box way too small damaging the base of the bed. Will the refund happen when Its scanned at FedEx or does it have to get shipped back to the third party seller for refund?

Please help me understand when I catch spark shoppers stealing, I take the items, and I report them to AP. Why is it they arent fired? I still see the same ones days and weeks later .

So i had to return a large order I purchased online. About $400, was told it wouldnt go on me card so they would load it on a prepaid card. Get home and it wasnt a prepaid visa like I was told, it was a gift card.

It makes no sense we cant use gift cards to buy digital games codes by themselves, but we can use gift cards to buy digital games codes that are in a game case.

Make it make sense. They are both the same thing.

Last two purchases of these burgers that were a staple in my freezer has been disappointing. They're not pretty flavorless and the texture isn't as supple. You can even see the difference when they're frozen. Sad to see. Hopefully it was just a fluke.

Claussen used to be good now they're not. Grillos is too expensive for what you get. Seems like there no solid choices for a decent price.
