There’s a belief that the tents left behind are taken by charities and given to homeless or those who need them. This has been debunked by organisers time and time again as not being true.

I think they think charity volunteers do it. But they don't think too hard about how insane that idea is

As someone who attends many camp festivals and have camped next to assholes - they know it will have to be cleaned up and thrown out but after 3-4 days of camping they just don’t give AF

Doesn't seem that insane to me. If I were involved with a UK charity of some sort I would be all for bringing a couple of people down and collecting hundreds of tents.

Yeah. I'll probably be in my shop, volunteering my time to develop better housing solutions for the developing world and other places. Check my post history for the details.

I won't ask where you'll be because I could care less. I'm sure you will be radiating a certain kind of smugness though.
