There’s a belief that the tents left behind are taken by charities and given to homeless or those who need them. This has been debunked by organisers time and time again as not being true.

So they think the organisers hire people to pack up the leftover tents for them?

I think they think charity volunteers do it. But they don't think too hard about how insane that idea is

As someone who attends many camp festivals and have camped next to assholes - they know it will have to be cleaned up and thrown out but after 3-4 days of camping they just don’t give AF
