Hi neighbors! I’m a volunteer wildlife rehabilitator here in Westchester County, and for almost two years I’ve been helping care for injured and orphaned wildlife. I’m now working toward becoming licensed to rehabilitate Rabies Vector Species (RVS), which would allow me to help raccoons, foxes, skunks, bats, and other wildlife that I’m currently unable to take.
One of the requirements is receiving the rabies pre-exposure vaccine series. Unfortunately, my insurance won’t cover the preventive vaccine for wildlife rehabilitation, leaving me with about $1,000 out of pocket. Wildlife rehabilitation is volunteer work, so I’ve started a fundraiser to help me cover the cost.
My hope is to become another resource right here in Westchester when these animals need help since we have a limited number of people locally who are able to rehabilitate them🦇

This was part of the Mark Simon Westchester’s “coin show” guy fencing ring who’s currently serving federal prison time and his wife is now running the coin show for him while he’s in prison along with Anthony Jewelers in the Jefferson Valley Mall and Carmel, Ny.

all you can do is laugh, it feels like it should be borderline illegal to even allow cars on the road lol, it’s so asinine going anywhere amidst the glut of construction and Con Ed repairs.

The Brain Injury Research Center at Mount Sinai is currently seeking individuals who have experienced physical violence from a partner that resulted in an injury to the face, head, or neck. This could include blows to the head or neck, repetitive injuries, or choking. Participants are eligible if at least one year has passed since the most recent episode of head injury related to partner violence.

Participants must be willing and able to travel to New York City for a 4-5 hour study visit. A study visit will include a brief set of thinking tests, an interview with surveys, a blood draw, a brief assessment about your physical health, and an MRI scan. Participants will have the option to make known their wishes for brain donation at the end of life. Participants will receive $100 for in-person visits or $50 for participation via telephone. Travel reimbursements may be made upon request.

If you are thinking of visiting Bronxville, be aware of their law stating that you cannot back into a spot. I got a $35 ticket for doing so. $35 is steep for such a minor infraction. When I called to complain, I was told there are signs up everywhere. The sign was not up where I parked, so I din't see it. Cute village, but the parking is really bad. They don't make it easy for visitors.
