I’m commuting daily (work then university, 5 days a week) and private drivers are quoting around 4,000 AED monthly, which feels steep. I’m honestly at my wits’ end and I don’t know what to do anymore.

I’ve been jobless since November last year. I’ve managed to pick up some small jobs here and there, driving, promotions, whatever I can find just to survive, but honestly I’m exhausted.

I have 10+ years of professional experience in supply chain, and I’ve been applying for jobs every single day, but I just can’t seem to land anything. Sometimes I sit and wonder what happened and whether all those years of experience were for nothing.

The bills are just piling up. Rent, school fees, food, medical expenses and everything else that comes with living here. I feel like I’m constantly trying to put out fires, and lately I genuinely feel like I’m choking or running out of air.

People might say “just go home,” but unfortunately it’s not that simple. I have things to clear with the bank. They were patient with me for a long time, but eventually they opened a case over the delayed payments because they were worried I might just leave and not come back.

I honestly don’t know how I’m going to get myself out of this situation. I’m just hoping someone here might be able to help somehow.

I know there are some really good people in this group. If anyone knows of a job, has a contact in any field I am availlable immediatly, my experience is majorly in suply chain but I am very comfortable to learn amd xcute in qny new environment fast learner here. If you knows someone hiring, or can point me in the right direction, I would genuinely appreciate it.

I was in the second most left lane and saw the light was green in muroor. The outer 2 left lanes are usually going left however in that intersection only the left most lane is going left. So what happened was I was driving in the 2nd left lane but when I saw that the road markings, its only going straight so I went to the left most lane. Since the straight was green, I thought it was also green for going left so I turned left without knowing its red.

Accident occurred and I need to go to traffic court. The case is saying that I caused damage to properties “unintentionally” due to driving in a manner which violates the law. The other guy sustained minor injury but doesnt need to be hospitalized

Does anyone have experience on how to tackle this?

Hi everyone, I’m an Indian passport holder and I’m in a bit of a career dilemma. I am a Software Engineer. I’d really appreciate advice from anyone who has gone through the UAE government hiring/security clearance process.

My situation

- I received a verbal confirmation for a UAE government project in Abu Dhabi.

- They told me the official offer letter would be released in the next 2 weeks, and security clearance starts after the offer is issued.

- I have already resigned from my current job in India, completed my notice period, and I’m currently unemployed.

The second offer

I also have another offer from a company that has offices in India and Bangkok, Thailand.

- I’m supposed to join next Monday.

- I’ll work from the India office for about a month.

- After that, the company will relocate me to Bangkok and process my Thailand work visa/work permit.

The catch is that this company has a hire-and-fire culture, and I don’t see it as a long-term job. I’m only considering it so I’m not unemployed while waiting for the UAE process.

My main concern

The UAE role is my preferred long-term opportunity. If I join the Thailand company and later receive the UAE offer, I’ll resign and move to the UAE.

I have not yet informed the UAE recruiter that I resigned from my previous job or that I may join another company. However, once they issue the offer, I plan to fully disclose my current employment status.

Questions

1. Is it a bad idea to join the Thailand company while waiting for the UAE offer and security clearance?

2. Will changing employers during the UAE hiring process create problems during security clearance?

3. If security clearance starts while I’m still in India vs after I’ve already moved to Thailand on a work visa, does that make any difference?

4. From a practical standpoint, what would you do in my situation?

My priority is to make sure the UAE security clearance goes as smoothly as possible, since I see that role as my long-term career.

Anybody wants to share a ride from Dubai to Abu Dhabi?

I live in Dubai and i just started working in Abu Dhabi (Maryah Island). I don't want to move at least until my ejari is over in Dubai.

I have to go to office 3 or 4 days in a week. I would love if i am able to share the commute cost.

I would prefer if the person also drives and has a car because that way I don't have to drive everyday but happy to take passengers as well.
