Multiverse Saga (Phase 4- ) So what are our thoughts on the whole Jean Grey discourse with the larger fandom? Spoiler

I’m asking this specifically because the whole “Jean needs to be locked up” idea sounds very much like something the Real SHIELD or the ATCU would try to do. Like I get that telepathic and possession powers are insanely dangerous heck Izel in S6 uses the possession powers in a similar way to Jean in terms of torturing people (and Ben in S5 is a pretty chill telepath compared to the ones in the comics) but clearly antagonising them is a terrible idea as shown in S2 with the Inhumans arc.

IMO Jean shouldn’t be forgiven easily for what she did but she still redeem herself and use her powers responsibly. The solution is to work with the powered people to build a solution like Coulson and Daisy try to do not try to lock them up.

EDIT: Judging from the comment section maybe bringing this debate down here was a bad idea.

Question [Spoilers] Doesn't the S7 finale mean this season is one continuous time loop Spoiler

In the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 7 finale, it turns out that the people in hazmat suits who helped them at the temple were their future selves, right? And the Zephyr from the original timeline goes back in time, right? So does that Zephyr connect to season 7 episode 1, meaning season 7 is one big time loop from start to finish? In the end, does the original Zephyr end up retracing the exact same journey from episode 1 to the finale?

Trivia and Polls What If Scenario Poll

Here are some, What If AOS scenarios I have thought about and put some thoughts down for. Whatever title is getting the most votes I’ll write as much as I can for, not like full scenes and episodes, but listing out all the ideas I thought the what if would create. (Order of the poll is in order of when it would happen in the series) *first option is in reference to episode 102

Season 5 Soo, did the team just erase the post-apocalypse timeline?

So as we all know the team traveled to the future of another timeline using the time monolith and they then brought that Fitz back to their original timeline which they then saved from the future timeline's fate. They then had two Fitz's from two different timelines (our original one being the smarter one ofc🥰) but one died so balance was restored. But that means either this all occurred in one singular timeline in which the loop broke somehow or they broke the loop of the other timeline because the other timeline's Agents of Shield never visited from the past except for Fitz who was then removed from that timeline so he and his original team could never continue the apocalypse time loop leaving the apocalypse timeline to either self destruct from the destroyed timeloop or idk the TVA maybe got rid of it or time/the universe just doesn't care and survived despite the broken loop.
That was very repetitive and all in one sentence I think so i hope it makes sense😅

Edit: Okay so I think I understand now, the only way any of this makes sense is that the timeline split in two when they traveled back in time

Season 4 One of my pet peeves about how Ward is discussed in Season 4.

I see people say all the time that Framework Ward's story shows that Grant Ward was redeemable. And let me be clear, I do think Ward would have turned out fine if he wasn't groomed by a psycho. A much better argument for that is how Garrett had to constantly belittle Ward's desire to care about him.

But you can't equate the two characters. The Framework was a simulation with conscious entities, but those entities were basically in three different groups.

  1. People who were scanned neuron by neuron before dying in the real world à la Radcliff.
  2. People who aren't dead. They're somehow interacting with the framework through a neural interface. Basically, all the team members.
  3. Characters in the simulation. I'm going to assume that Aida used the framework tech to make these characters completely independent and conscious with their own simulated brains.

Now, there's a philosophical argument about whether the first group are the 'real' them, but they are certainly the closest thing to the real thing.

The second group are definitely their real selves.

But the third group are only loosely based on the real people they're supposed to emulate. Aida didn't scan the neurons of the entire planet. If we assume she did base the original Framework population on real people, the most she probably had to go on was social media and public records.

For Ward, she had Shield reports and possibly the memories of his coworkers to flesh him out, but at the end of the day, Framework Ward is just another NPC who was given a fake backstory. That doesn't mean Framework Ward wasn't a conscious entity. It doesn't mean he wasn't influenced by that backstory.

But think of all the memories a person has in their life that are never recorded or written down. For instance, Ward is the only person who knows what happened the day he killed Christian. He's the only one who heard that confession. While Framework Ward is based on an earlier version of him, it's also missing out on anything more than the broad strokes of what was publically recorded about Ward. It's a fake.

Self Promotion This scene is very interesting too because was she trying to disintegrate him, mainly because of the little pieces that are flying off him?

Season 2 Started rewatching after 10 years & there is a standout!

I watched this show when it first aired (up to S4). It was honestly one of my favourites from ages 13-16, but life got busy and I didn’t continue with it. Rewatching it now in prep for Doomsday and I’m currently in the middle of S2.

I just wanted to say the difference from S1 to S2 is stark. The addition of Kyle MacLachlan is particularly striking, he really shows up so many of the other actors, many of which are little poorer acting-wise than I remember. Kyle really elevates this season, I can’t remember what happens with his character from here but I love every moment he’s on the screen. Dichen Lachman is also great despite her short screentime.

I’m hoping there will be other character standouts to look forward to!

Season 7 What do you think happened with Grant Ward Spoiler

In the History Altered by Chronicoms Universe? Since John Garrett dies before he could ever join Hydra and recruit Grant Ward.

I like to think he's found by Deke and becomes an actual member of SHEILD.

Discussion Ranking AOS Villians

Favorite to least favorite. Truly a villain, no redemption arch, bad intentions. If they turned, it’s just rating them as they were as the bad guy. Undercover you can count it. Feel free to do as many as you want. Top fav top least fav.

Here’s a reference list of everyone that fits the category. (If there’s another lmk I’ll see if I missed or I’ll say why I left them off.

Reference list (in somewhat order of where they are in the series)

Jiaying
Ward
Whitehall
Bakshi
Gideon Malick
Hive
Eli Morrow
Nadeer

My list

Favorites

  1. Ward
  2. Garrett
  3. Ivanov
  4. Whitehall
  5. Dr Fitz
  6. Izel
  7. Jiaying
  8. AIDA
  9. Bakshi

  10. Hive

Least Favorites

  1. Hale
  2. Nadeer
  3. Talbot
  4. Lorelei
  5. Sarge

What do you agree or disagree strongly with mine?

few explications

I like AIDA a lot more when shes good

Nadeer is my most hated character but I think that’s a testament to the actress and the writing. Hales stuff was far more boring so I put her first.

Talbots rationality a lot of times is so bad it’s mind blowing

Sarge doesn’t make this list if he doesn’t end bad, but the fact that he did saved the character a little than if they just turned him into a new Coulson so for that I drop him down a little in lol.

Season 5 Season 5 episode 14 - Daisy’s inhibitor

Why didn’t the team consider programming a device that would turn on/turn off the inhibitor? There were so many risks with fully taking out the inhibitor. Plus I’m not a fan of the Dr. Fitz storyline coming back around

Phase 1 Maria Hill in Avengers

I just noticed, anyone else find it weird when everyone was on the helicarrier and Tony was talking about Loki's likely plans for the cube, Maria was watching him the entire time and yet the super spy didn't notice him planting a data stealing device on the ship?

I don't think it's weird in the movie at the time as we like and root for Tony and we don't really know Maria but it's weird in retrospect
