Discussion Questions about Anno 117

Hello people who play anno, i still thinking about getting new entry and before i do, i have questions about this game.

  1. I saw that your opponents can become specialists but at the same time i saw a video where you can add an opponent later down the game - so can be opponent be added if he/she is now your specialist?

1.1 Are any of them good?

  1. Why the info or wiki well not non-existent but quite low or a bit outdated compared to the anno 1800?

  2. Is prestige another currency like in 1800? If yes what for? If no, why bother having it?

  3. Are there expeditions or world map like in anno 1800?

  4. Is overly idiotic? censorship is gone? I have heard that on the start of the game launch that there were lots of problem with overly censoring censorship.

  5. Also are pirates fully defeatable or as in anno 1800 they will comeback eventually?

  6. I saw Emperor/Empress are here doing stuff, what about them, what they do provide and why declaring war on them?

7.1 Also whats the difference between the 2? which one is better and for what?

Discussion What you guys think the two new military units are ?

Personally hoping for War elephants for one of them. They already had a model rendered for the campaign. Would love to bring them to Albion to crush the Skaha. Not too familiar with ancient Egypt to think a unit that would stand out and fit the Anno theme. (Not saying war elephants do but yeah)

Question Islands

Hi, how are you guys doing? I have a question. How do you manage your islands?

Do all of your islands have their own production chains, or do you divide your islands by production? For example, one island is the main one and only has the city, with no industry; another island is focused on agriculture; another one is for heavy industry, and so on. Or how do you manage them?

I was thinking about keeping industries separated by island and then shipping the products to the “capital,” but I’m not sure how effective that would be.
Thankssss

I made myself a table to check which god affect each production building.

There are more building not affected by any gods than I initially realised. I filtered them on the last 2 pics.

Do you think, we will see new Gods that affect them in the future?

I can easily see Venus affecting the production chains of Narcissiums, Brooches, Necklaces and Tessera. (including Gold washers/mines, Silver mines and Shell Gatherers, that are also affected by Vulcan and Neptune)

General Anno 117 Trade Routes Glitch

Anyone else experiencing this? I have noticed that when my ships "deliver" a set of goods ever since the new DLC update, some of these goods "vanish" upon delivery. Specifically, there will be a full stack in the ship; it unloads when it reaches the pier or warehouse, yet it does not register in the Islands inventory. I think that resetting the route or adding or subtracting fixed this issue, but I wasn't sure if anyone else saw this.
