Urgent! Looking for a Fine Arts Educator past or present to answer 6 questions for a college assignment with a short deadline (music, art, theatre, dance, visual arts, digital arts, literary arts, performing arts, etc.)
1) What fine arts subject do you teach, and why did you choose to teach that subject?
2) Where do you teach, and what age(s) are your students?
3) Arts integration is a way of teaching where students learn a core subject through art, such as using theatre and role play to teach reading comprehension. Now that you know about arts integration in regular K-12 classrooms, what are your thoughts about it?
4) What do you wish others knew about teaching your subject?
5) What other types of subjects are naturally incorporated into the teaching of your subject? (For example, are students using math to make art? Are they using elements of poetry, like repetition or tone, to make music?)
6) If you could choose one skill from your subject that you wish was taught in all other subjects, what would it be? (Ex: a dance teacher might say "restraint" or "endurance".)
