I play a lot of retro games through compilations or collections, and I was wondering if it was better to list each game individually in my list, or if I should count every game in the collection as one?

I wanted to do a website that takes a backloggd username and gives these (and more) tables about a profile but there is no official API for the site and I can only get the profile front page data using the community made API.

Revised after Gamescom. As an ARPG guy, I am eating so good.

PoE2 is there for its 1.0 release, of course, while Last Epoch is there for the expansion & console port.

I'm curious if there's a list of games that have a development history that is mythologized, well-documented, or both. If not, any examples to give? Any examples I can give of what I mean is slipping me right now, unfortunately.

I've always sort of been fascinated by the period of 2005-2007 where the DS and GBA co existed and many of the titles would quite literally be the same game on both consoles. I put one sort of funny exception at the end but otherwise this should be mostly complete.

I get scared too easily. This is my list of horror games i would have tried if I don't get scared too easily.

Actually I did try gtfo tbh , it's not that scary and really fun with friends. I tried silent hill 2 as well , but I dropped it because it's scary.

If any placement seems unusual for you, just know it's a deeply personal list. I don't rank based on a quality checklist, just how a game made me feel.

For instance, Outlast 2 hit me really hard as a liminal experience due to my background in attending Catholic school. It hooked me start to finish as an oppressive nightmarish journey.

I played Alisa a lot during my paternity leave when my son was born. I love how it was basically 3DO-themed rather than Ps1-themed. The whimsical environments and dreamy soundtrack now give me a lot of nostalgia for that time of parenthood. The shop and currency system makes the game very replayable for me. With enough skill in the melee system, you can become overpowered. Lots of enemy variety for an indie too.

bit of an odd post if i had to take a guess but, what the title says.

for 2 months now i feel like i cant really enjoy a game without always having a thought lingering in my head that forms a review/star rating prior to even having finished the game, this has completely thrown me off for a while and i really hate it because gaming is my favourite hobby.

i know an answer can already be said, "cant you just not use backloggd anymore?" and, sure, ive tried doing that with letterboxd, but i dont really feel like it works. it threw off my interest in movies and at the same time i like to see my progress, i still do like writing reviews for media i liked/critique what i wasnt so fond of and give a star rating, and i totally understand this just seeming really contradictory, but when playing games and forming my opinion on them i like to divide them in 3 layers;

1. the whole point of the medium, entertainment
2. emotional depth
3. objectivity, the flaws it has and the things it did well

but because of the fact i always think to myself a future review, those 2 first points just seem non-existent. ive been playing shadow of the colossus, wonderful game, but i keep thinking of the score i want to give to it. why cant i just, enjoy it? especially on a game so cinematographily beautiful? it almost feels like im finishing it just to get my reward of adding it to my profile (yeah i get this last sentence gives more reasons as to why i should not use to site but, id rather find an alternative.)

has any of you felt this before, how do you deal with this?

Title. This has only just happened recently. I can load any other website on firefox but specifically backloggd is giving me the timed out popup, It loads fine on chrome on my phone so i dont think the website is down has anyone else experienced this?
