Ugh updated pass rates
Why is Wisconsin down 15% overall from last July, and 24% for first time takers (obviously this cannot be answered but ugh)

Good luck on the exam!
Tomorrow, legacy examinees will take the MEE (no topic disclosures allowed) and the MPT (no content disclosures allowed). Wednesday they will take the MBE (no disclosure of questions and answers).
NextGen examinees will get two, three-hour sections of new-style questions (including some multiple choice that are similar to the MBE) on Tuesday and one more three-hour section Wednesday. All items from this exam are secure and may be reused on a future exam and may not be disclosed.
Also, accommodated examinees for both exams will be testing all week and would benefit from disclosures of content earlier in the week.
This is an issue of fairness, copyright (which could get the sub shut down), and ethics. NCBE does monitor this subreddit and regularly contacts us regarding violations of these rules. You also agreed to these terms as part of the exam rules.
Therefore, any discussions of exam content as described above will result in bans.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation on this, and good luck on the exam!

Hi folks,
The bar prep channels are once again open and available in the /r/lawschool discord server.
Once you arrive, please make sure you assign yourself the JD role so that you will be able to see the bar prep channel.
Once you have assigned yourself a role. Navigate to the channel called #bar-preppies. There you will find:
Support from attorneys who have already passed the bar.
Free study resources.
Friendly folks who will study along with you.
Please be patient as the channel populates with more bar preppers. We are just beginning our recruitment for Feb '24, and we hope to have a large group joining us once again this year. Past years have seen study groups of 50 or more folks.
Good luck, everybody!

Comparable number of test takers as 2022, 2023 ~44k
2024 had ~49k test takers and mbe average was higher than this year and comparables (141.8)
2025 had ~ 47k test takers and mbe average was highest (142.4) still more test takers thank this year and comparables.
If you fall in the average on mbe = 140.7
+
If you fall in the average on mpt & mee= 140.7
If you fall in average overall= 281.4

I know i’m supposed to not think about this bc there’s nothing I can do about it but here we are. Does anyone else feel like they barely wrote anything on the essays? I feel like I had like 2 sentences for each. Spiraling

and I am one of them 😂 Refreshing every now and then and getting a server error. Either way, it’s very likely they won’t drop till tomorrow; but a guy can dream!
Update: Its now gone from a server error to simply “Rate exceeded”

Missouri just emailed confirming. This wasn’t a huge shock because the date had already been thrown around but I guess I’m just sad there was no Next Gen announcement?
I’ll be happy with different scaling… as long as I pass ugh

Does July 2026 lower mean, compared to 2024 and 2025 necessarily mean worse scaling? Could the mean be lower, but the relationship between performance on the equating questions and the rest of the questions be such that scaling is actually more generous, theoretically? Or am I way off?
To put it more simply, does our lower mean compared to 2024 and 2025 necessarily mean worse scaling?

I hate that Indiana is not consistent with their release dates, they cover a large chunk of the month of September and don't give any kind of warning/heads up

When I type in the bar admissions office’s URL I get an HTTP status 404- not found error. Anybody getting the same thing? I’m about to jump into a river
Edit: It says it’s in maintenance mode

July 2026 taker. Submitted everything in April in my jdx. I know silence is generally fine, but shit, we’re supposed to get results in like a month or so. Worth it to reach out?

I have a significant self employment history for tutoring. How do they ask you to verify this kind of thing in the C&F portions? do I prepare tax records? or do they just ask for a former student to verify it?

What are we doing to prepare?!?! Please I need some advice on how to pass. I failed my last attempt with a 28.

And no, I’m not talking about anything regarding a searchable form of the notes. I’m just saying, I am used to using my iPad to look at Notes. I can have the Wi-Fi off.
