Hab was gelesen dass es von einem lateinischen Wort für Handwerker kommen solle die ja früher mehr umherzogen und wenig hatten aber jedes lateinische Wort das ich für Handwerker finde passt überhaupt nicht. Anderswo hieß es germanische Wurzel die auch Handwerker hat aber ich nirgends eine echte Begründung.

(Kontext, kam mit meiner Mama die am Land aufgewachsen ist irgendwie auf das Thema und sie hat erzählt dass manchmal Hamperer kamen harmlose hungrige umherziehende die draußen am Hof ne Brotzeit bekamen sich bedankten und gingen, manche kamen öfter man kannte sie namentlich. Und jetzt frag ich mich woher das kommt)
