Vintage Wiedemann “party animals” blacklight sign, mid-60s?

Thumbnail gallery

From Geo. Wiedemann Brewing Co., Newport, KY. Metal cabinet, lit by an F15T8/BLB blacklight tube, the art is UV-reactive and glows. I’m guessing mid-60s?

Never seen something like this. I bought it off a coworker who picked it up in the 90s. Anyone recognize it or seen something like it?

James Bond? Where are you? Oh there you are. Unfortunately they are paper labels and not the original ones.

Anyone recognize this PBR “COLD BEER” sign? P-1352

It’s molded plastic, approximately 48” wide × 12” at the center, with P-1352 stamped on the front.
I can’t find another example of this exact design.

Both are 1950s glasses. The one with rounded corners is the harder of the 2 to find. The sharp cornered one has a variant with “BEER” under the name but I’m not sure if that one was put on a barrel, or not. I know it can be found on a shell glass, a bulge top sham and an hourglass sham.

Large vintage beer can collection — looking to sell or pass along to a collector

Hi everyone! We have a very large collection of vintage beer cans that we're trying to figure out what to do with. There are a ton of them and all different brands/styles/ages. They belonged to my late dad and I don't have many pictures handy right now but added one I had on hand.

We don't know enough about beer can collecting to know whether there are any particularly rare or valuable cans mixed in, and we'd really rather not just throw them away.

Ideally, we'd love to connect with a collector who would appreciate them. We're open to selling the collection, but would also consider donating/giving some or all of it to the right collector if that's the best option.

Before we start moving or getting rid of anything, I thought I'd ask people who actually collect them:

  • Is there anything specific we should look for?
  • Would collectors generally be interested in buying a large collection as a whole?
  • What's the best way to photograph or inventory a collection this size?
  • Are there certain cans we definitely shouldn't clean or alter?

I can post plenty of photos if anyone is interested in seeing what's there. Located in South Carolina.

Thanks for any advice!

Repairing/restoring vintage plastic Miller Lite sign

Has anyone tried to repaint a plastic sign like this that has visible damage/disrepair? I’m thinking of just using a can of spray paint but would love to hear any methods others have used.

Insane Utopias vertical find—Value check on a 6-year sealed collection?

Thumbnail

Hey everyone, I'm currently sorting through a pristine collection of Samuel Adams Utopias that includes the 2011, 2012 (10th Anniversary), 2013, 2015, 2019, and 2021 vintages, all factory-sealed with the matching Riedel glasses. I just put the lot up on MyBeerCollectibles to see what the market dictates for a complete, consecutive vertical like this. Has anyone here tracked recent completed sales for a lot this size without the outer boxes? Wondering if my current expectations align with the secondary collector market right now.

Polishing mirror sign?

Post image

My friends gifted me this beautiful sign they thrifted! I love it but obviously the mirror part is pretty tarnished. Is there a way to polish this without damaging the paint/vinyl on top? If not, it is what it is but I’d love to give it the old college try if possible.

I have this sign, and I can find the green version all over the internet but cannot find a teal version anywhere.
