Google changes the name of Lake Ontario to Lake America in Google Maps.

Again, Google is just changing things based on location. This is what I see from Scotland

It would be a little less embarrassing if they changed it only when the location is DC or Mar a Lago

But in the details on the left it says (Lake America) right? Thats what I get in New Zealand.

Same, however in the side panel it is now "Lake Ontario (Lake America)"

Because it’s still Lake Ontario. Google’s just trying to avoid shade, which is probably prudent but still annoying AF because it just continues to delude Dementia Don that his executive orders have the authority he thinks they do.

They base all naming on local government databases to try and maintain neutrality from the gov perspective. US uses GNIS, maintained by the Ececutive Branch.

They don’t have to, but they got rid of the don’t be evil motto.
