Gameplay question Any solution for the death screen

I downloaded gzh on my steam deck windows and the screen of death appeared

Zero hour is an expansion from generals which means you need both games installed otherwise the missing textures from base game will fallback to magenta.

Typically the Zero Hour installer won't even let you install the game unless Generals is installed.
