Meme Graphics are so impressive these days

Generals zero hour still rocking with the graphics on portraits and in-game for 20+ years.

I hate how nowadays sooo much money is spent on making the butt hair of a dog move correct against a far where all I really want is more gameplay.

Strongly agreed. Nowadays, the modern video games aim for graphics instead of the enjoyable gameplay, the unique artstyle that doesn't need to be necessarily ultra realistic and modern, complex lore. They spent millions of budget simply for graphics.

At least right now, we are in the indie gold age or approaching it. There's probably a superior version for most triple A games, on steam, GoG or independently hosted. Sometimes even mods just gotten good.

That's about when they started chasing graphics over gameplay.
The golden age was the N64/PS1 - Xbox/PS2 era.
After that they became obsessed with pixel count.

Yes, many did, but the point I was trying to make was that there's been many brilliant games made in the last two decades that haven't been obsessed with graphics. All hope isn't lost

Finally, Kassad forgot to camo his meme. "You have fallen to Kassad, like all did before you."
Kassad deserves some appreciation, love and memes dedicated to him. It's rather the regular deluge of Thrax and somewhat Juhziz memes that flow through the reddit and they're the ones that get the spotlight while Kassad is lurking in the shadows. 😭

Same. There's something more fascinating about games that aren't large and have their own unique graphics, not the ones that are heavily focused on having the most realistic graphics.
