Hey everyone! I'm u/ilovetinderbox, a founding moderator of r/crochet_clothing.
This is our home for all things related to crochet clothing! We're excited to have you join us!
We've seen a big uptick in activity here lately which is AMAZING so we are working on the backend a bit as out auto moderator has been removing posts it shouldn't have and just generally setting up r/crochet_clothing to suit this community's needs better.
We are actively seeking to add 1 to 3 new moderators to the team so please message me if you are interested!
What to Post
You can post any and all things crochet clothing related! Please do try to keep it to clothing and use other subreddits like r/crochet for non-clothing pieces.
When sharing please also share a link to the pattern in the comments! Both free and paid patterns may be posted in this group by makers and designers alike, just please no spamming us repeatedly with the same design(s) over and over.
Community Vibe
We are a body positive space and the creators of this subreddit believe that no matter your shape or size you deserve to have crochet clothes that you love. We want to celebrate makers on their work and designers on their creations! We will not tolerate any body shaming, nor any bigoted behaviour in this group.
Weekly Posts
As of March 2026 we are setting up a few fun weekly community posts for everyone to join in on. Look for the posts each week to add your contribution to the comments!
Monday - Designers Day: Designers share a new pattern release, new blog post, a seasonal fave, whatever you'd like just try to keep it to one per person (e.g. don't share 5 of your paid patterns)
Wednesday - WIP Wed: Everyone share a progress pic of what they're working on!
Friday - FO Friday: Everyone share a pic of what they finished this week!
Happy crocheting everyone,
The r/crochet_clothing Mod Team!

I’m always crocheting for others, so this was MY GIFT to MYSELF! I took time out of the day just to watch my Valks play and each game, I’d crochet pieces of my cardigan and hat! The cardigan was finished on Father’s Day and holds a meaning more special than I could have ever imagined.
I lost my uncle just days after finishing this cardigan. He sat right beside as I finished the cuffs on the sleeves. I had no idea that would be my last time seeing him. His memory, the love and care that he consistently displayed will live on through this project and within me. Here’s to you, Uncle Funky!! 💜
🧶Legacy lives in these stitches✨

Its been on my mind for a long time now, but i havent found a tutorial on a top like this yet, and since im a bit of a noobie at making tops, i dont feel confident to come up with a pattern myself. Please help!

I'm still fairly new to crochet, and a bit of a slow learner. After making scarves, headwraps, and some decorative items I've finally made my first wearable. I know the finishing stitching around the v-neck and armholes isn't super neat, and the whole project is by no means perfect, but I'm proud of what I've managed to create. The sizing is a little small on me (as it's not supposed to fit this snug!) but I'm sure it'll stretch with time. This is a pattern by 'For the Frills'. What do you guys think? If you can see any obvious mistakes or areas for improvement please let me know 🧶

Airy is a made-to-measure crochet pattern, meaning that the garment is adapted to your own measurements and preferred fit. The pattern can therefore be made for both children and adults. You choose your own yarn and hook size based on the look, feel, and fabric you want to achieve.
The pattern will be available in both Swedish and English (US terminology) and includes written instructions, charts, photos, and illustrations to help you throughout the pattern.
Yarn Usage Examples
Yarn usage will vary depending on the size, yarn, hook size, gauge, and any adjustments made to the pattern.
My sample versions:
🧶 Women’s size S: DROPS Flora, 5 mm hook – approximately 272 g
🧶 Children’s size 92/98: DROPS Loves You 9, 4.5 mm hook – approximately 117 g
Timeline
📅 The pattern will be sent to testers: August 31
📅 Feedback must be submitted by: September 30
What is expected of testers
• Crochet the pattern and follow the instructions.
• Provide feedback on any errors, unclear sections, or areas that could be improved.
• Complete the feedback form that will be sent together with the pattern.
• Submit your feedback by September 30.
• Take photos of the finished garment.
When testing is complete, you will receive:
• The Naples Tank Top pattern
• A shoutout when the Airy Pullover pattern is released
How to apply
Applications to become a tester should be submitted through the latest post on Instagram: @sockan.crochet.
This is to keep all applications in one place and make the selection process easier.
I’m looking forward to seeing your versions of Airy! 🤍

finally finished this crochet dress and put it on a mannequin to see the full effect. 🧶✨ The yarn itself was ombré, so I honestly had no idea exactly how the colours would transition until I started working with it.
I love how it went from cream to yellow and then into those deeper orange/brown tones. 😍
What do you think of the colour transition? Would you keep the ombré as it is, or would you prefer a different colour combination?

Hello! I finally decided to crochet clothes after 3 years of crochet experience. The only issue: I kinda suck at it so far.
I made a tank top from a beginner friendly pattern and it's not great...
So, what are some tips/advice for crocheting shirts/clothes? Open to general advice, but also have a couple of specific questions.
Blocking: how do I do that and how does it impact the fit of the final garment?
Top fit: as a bigger chested woman, how do I account for that while following a pattern? It seems like most patterns are made by smaller women.

I’m working on t-shirt using granny stitch
I’m little bit confuse on measuring the back panel should i measure it normally or should i stretch it and measure it while stretching to make sure of the size?
Should i make the t-shirt the exact size or should i make it little bit smaller so when i do blocking it won’t get bigger?
