How did i do? Im still beginner so their might be some incorrect stitches. But so far im really enjoying it.

I just noticed that the colors are wrong but considering it takes me 10-15 minutes to do a single row, I really don’t want to have to undo and redo like 10 rows. All stitches are HDC and I’m carrying the yarn on the back. This is a gift so I really want it to be as perfect as possible and the white is really noticeable. Please help!!

First time buying yarn online, and now I’m questioning my choice 😅 Second photo is was I want to make, and it’s done with 5mm yarn and hook. I wanted something super soft, light, and breathable, so I went with L&T Silky Soft cause it’s made from bamboo. It recommends a 4mm hook and I definitely underestimated how much of a difference it would be… the skeins are so much smaller than I expected 😭 Will I still be able to make a decent sized throw blanket for my couch without having to buy tons more? I’ll also take any tips on working with yarn this thin, it’s so finicky! lol

Title may be a little dramatic for what I’m asking but can I unravel this yarn to make individual balls of each color that makes up the cake? I hope that makes sense. Like divide it into the 6 colors instead of having the color changes.

And if so or if anyone has done this before what is the best approach? I have a yarn winder but I’m not sure that will be helpful until I have them separated.

I’m nervous I’m going to regret it or fluff up my yarn by doing this and it’s so pretty I’m trying to avoid that 😅

**editing to add the color changes are pretty long, I have 4 cakes of it, the intended project is worked center out and changes color each row, and I’m trying NOT to have to buy more yarn hence this idea as a possibility.

Hello! It’s first time using tshirt yarn and I made this sea shell bag. I am a fairly experienced crocheter though I won’t consider myself at an expert level.

Any tips/suggestions for the future?

Also, I realised that tshirt yarn caused a lot of pain in my hands. Any suggestions on how I can reduce it?

So I followed the instructions for the tutorial fairly well, I think but the problems came when I had to put it all together. There weren't really any specific instructions for how I was supposed to stitch it together, only the pictures provided, so I think this is where I goofed it. Also the embroidery too. I'm not sure if this was too advanced for me? I know in the grand scheme it doesn't look completely terrible but it didn't turn out like the picture. Just looking for some advice for how I could improve and what specifically I might have done wrong. Thanks in advance.

Hey crocheters, I’m quite new with crochet with thread and it was my failed attempt to block the flower pinning it wet. Idea was to make the flower more manageable and regulate little mistakes in tension to later use it either as application or Irish lace crochet motif wannabe. First picture is before the blocking and the last image is pretty much the same what I got after it dried and I removed the pins. Center is flat as I wanted but the petals are stretched and flat, lifeless almost.

Can I unblock cotton thread motif? I used DNC #30 Babylo cotton thread here and 1mm hook if it matters.

Just frogged a queen/king size throw that was 90% done because I hated it. My fault in colour choice and frankensteining a pattern and making something too big 😅.

I now have gorgeous pattern for a regular sized throw that is kind of a stash buster to use up all my frogged yarn.

I really struggle with colour choices until I see it worked up. Does anyone have any suggestions? The pattern maker used 17 colours but more or less are doable. I want it to be a little cohesive (eg. Pattern pic is blue-themed).

Would love any help! I have more of pretty much everything and am thinking of relying heavily on the cream to keep it lighter in tone. In particular, I’m feeling unsure about the lighter blues/greens and the brightest orange.

This is only my first day actively trying to crochet. My goal was to just make a square of sc stitches and it turned into a triangle. I’m aware I must be skipping a stitch in each row but very unsure of how to fix this as I swear when I was doing it i felt like it was right until it was obviously not LOL I kept going just cause it’s only practice anyway and I can laugh at it 🤣🤣

Thanks in advance. I am a fairly beginner crocheter but have been tasked with finishing the blanket that he wasn’t able to complete. The blanket is probably 2/3 complete. The top border is done and there is a border going down either side. I never got the chance to ask him what stitches he was using for the main blanket and the border. I have lots of yarn and crochet hooks but no idea what stitch to use. Can add more photos if that helps

I crocheted this lace polo last year, and I absolutely never wear it. Part of it is that I'm not that into t shirts, part of it is that it's merino, and a wool t shirt doesn't really work in any season for me. I'm wondering if I could somehow make it into a cardigan and wanted to know if anyone had any experience doing something like this. One major concern is that the blue yarn is discontinued, so I would not be able to continue the stripe pattern.

This is tunisian crochet. It was my first time trying it so at the bottom the edges are really wonky because I was uncomfortable and my form was off. Its now been about a week since I first started tunisian crochet and I've gotten more comfortable. The only problem is that now my most recent rows look vastly different from my beginner rows. The edges look more uniform and are less bulky, probably because my tension is better.

I really dont want to restart because I've already restarted like twice before due to my perfectionism. I was thinking about adding a border at the end. I also plan on steaming to fix the "curling" effect but I'm not sure if that will help the edges too.

If you have any advice, I'd love to hear it!

I have been crocheting for years, but I do not enjoy sewing so when it comes to Amigurumi I usually only do no sew patterns where everything is one piece. I have been asked by someone to make an adorable Bat, that has a pattern already. The designer is Sassaroo on etsy and it is so cute, however I have run into issues.

I like the front of the bat and think that it is cute. The back I am unsure about, The wings are so bulky as the pattern has you fold them in half and sew them on . Is the back supposed to to look like this? By that I mean should you be able to see where i have sewn all the pieces on? Should I try again? Or am I just being super critical of my work?

I am also almost out of time as they wanted this done by Friday and I was hoping to have this done by Tuesday (today).

I am very interested in crocheting or knitting my wedding veil, do not fret wedding would be very far away, so I have enough time to complete this project
I am not sure what materials I would do it with or where to get them and I know I have a specific idea in mind that might not be feasible. I love traditional veils with the lace that you can put over your head for it to be pulled back at the altar and if I do it with crochet or knit material, it might be too thick to do that to where it looks bad. Does anyone have any ideas?

hi! i really like the look of this bag and i’m free handing it for the most part and switching colors blah blah, anyways.

the fold over flap looks like it just BARELY turns to more of a triangle shape at the center. how do i get that when i make mine? and for the flap, should i lose one stitch on each end of the start of it so that it doesn’t like get too in the way when i fold it? if that made sense.. i dunno but just looking for ideas!! or the creator so i can see if there is a pattern or video :)) thanks everyone! <3

I'm looking for this pattern or a pattern of this flower (the kowhai flower) I've tried looking and sadly the only one that matches well isn't available for purchase anymore, the person isn't even on the Internet anymore I don't think. This is the section that I’m asking about as I’m not sure where to put the stiches (in regular stitches or in the empty spaces from the previous rounds)

Hello!!! I've attached pics of my actual squares and then a couple mockups of joining colors. I plan on doing a granny join as I want to add a little with and length without having to do more squares 😂. I thought I'd do the ivory, but I'm kind of liking the butter? Thoughts? This will be my first ever completed blanket. Be gentle with me! 🫶🏻 Also - any thoughts on the border? I was thinking bringing in the green and then doing a simple clam (or similar) border might be nice.

Hello! So I’m making a hexi pullover/jumper. What I am struggling with is deciding what to do with the middle colored in section!

I’ve seen others use granny squares to fill in this space in the front and back or just extend the sides to touch. From your guys’ experience, what looks good? Are the squares in both the front and back too much or repetitive? I’m looking to make it a little slouchy and comfy.

If you’ve done something similar, please share pictures! This is my first big wearable project and I want to make sure I like it enough to use it!! 😖

My hat made with rayon raffia (Ispie) has floppy and wavy brim as the photo. I want to make the brim to be more straight and flared out instead of droopy like this.

I have tried added a thick fish line but it doesn’t help.

It doesn’t get too many increases as the brim can be laid flat. My other hats with single crochet brim don’t have the issue.

Any suggestion on making the brim more stiff and keep the shape is highly appreciated.

My yarn hard is killing me. It feels stiff and my knuckles are BURNING. Idk if I should use an ice pack or heating pack. Or maybe something else??? Please help ive got a blanket to finish by January PLEASE!!!!

I want to make a blanket for a friend as a wedding gift. I came up with a design—I’m aware I made parts of it a little too finely detailed, but I’ll rework it—and was initially just planning on doing it as straightforward tapestry crochet. But then I was wondering if mosaic would be better, and then I learned about interlocking filet crochet, which seems like it would be very nice since the end result is double sided. But each of those methods are more difficult than the last (at least to me) and I’m unsure of how I could get a pattern out of my illustration for mosaic or interlocking.

I know just doing a tapestry would get the job done, but it is a wedding gift, so if I could put in some extra effort to make it nicer I’d like to! Any suggestions are welcome.
