I’ve noticed “with first class honours” on a bunch of allied health students degrees. Does that mean their course weighted average was high or is it to do with their Honours project being good?

Hi, I'm thinking of taking an elective during the summer period to ease my study during the following semester. Assuming the usual unit coordinators are on break, how do you get help with assignments and feedback during the 13 weeks? And is it marked during the summer period or once unit coordinators get back?

I’ll be starting Diploma of Engineering (Electrical and Electronic stream), leading to Year 2 of the Bachelor of Engineering in Feb 2027.

I currently feel that my weaker areas are Calculus and Fundamentals of Electrical Engineering. If there are any current students or seniors who have completed these units, I would really appreciate your advice on how to prepare and aim for 75%+.

In particular, are the lecture notes, tutorials and reference materials provided by Curtin/Curtin College sufficient for doing well, or would you recommend using additional textbooks, YouTube courses or other resources? Appreciate your help!

As far as i know no one at curtin gets any play so im just confused why they sell these?

Does anyone know how exams work in 4th year of a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours)?

Are Honours exams held during the same centrally scheduled exam period as Years 1–3? And do you generally still have around four exams each semester, or are there fewer or no centrally scheduled exams because of the thesis and other assessments?

For context, some friends have invited me on a trip next year, but it falls during the centrally scheduled exam period. They don’t go to uni, so I’m trying to work out whether I’m likely to have exams during that time.

I’ve currently been looking into a double degree of arts (anthropology and sociology) and commerce (international business). Do you think this degree is worth it to study with job prospects in the future.

I’m really interested in the topics but my brother has not been very kind about it saying it’s a useless degree so I’m asking what you guys think and if there was other degrees that might be better but in the same area of social sciences/ humanities

hi! i was recently diagnosed with adhd and it’s making studying really difficult (my degree is healthcare based and very content heavy). the further i get in my degree, the harder it gets obviously and the worse i become. i don’t even necessarily find content hard, for me the hardest part is forcing myself to study, stay on task and no matter what study method i use, im really slow. i went from writing notes to just annotating slides but my brain obsesses over the smallest details that if i don’t understand them i can’t move on. i’m looking into getting a cap, but im not sure if im really going to benefit from it. in tests my brain makes me think im running out of time so i just rush through it and finish tests within 40 mins or so, so i dont really need the extra time. i also dont mind venues around other people and dont want to exclude myself (unless the people around me are making it hard to focus. the other day the guy next to me was clicking his fingers and was driving me mad, but thankfully it was right before i left) but yeah other than that i dont really struggle in terms of being around other people. i mainly have tests not assignments, so would i even benefit from a cap? can someone who has a cap please tell me all the benefits of it?

For those who did this unit, how do you guys study for this unit and manage the group project like finding the members?

I noticed that some people just dont be bothered coming to workshops (except for tests) and lectures

Due to circumstances in my family life, i’ve basically done 0 studying this semester. I am in my first year of IT and i’m really struggling to focus or do anything. I’ve probably got under 10% for every unit right now. I was wondering if there’s any options available for me? Can i just abort this semester and go again next year? Or do i try and catch back up?

Was just wondering if the COMP1002, DSA, midsem, usually repeats questions from previous exams? (Like I can just practice and kind of memorise the past questions from the exam). Or does it usually test completely different knowledge.

What are the hardest units/ highest workload in 2nd year electrical engineering ?

I would imagine Curtin won’t just hire anyone to drive these busses. Do better.
