Cyprus could be better off if it were to undergo an enosis to Israel

Northern Cyprus would be back soon, we would have access to the best defense industry in the world, and much more. What do you guys say? Wouldn't it be convenient if we sold our real estate and land at the lowest possible prices to speed up the process?

Sports Beginner Female Golfers

Hi everyone!

I’ve recently gotten into golf and would like to practice my game a bit more. Most of the golf classes/groups organized by the different clubs run during office hours, which I cant make unfortunately.

If there are any other beginner ladies (to clarify i am also a lady), I would love to get together and play. My closest club is Limassol Greens but I can make the drive to Paphos too.

Question Car rental for more than one month?

Dear people.

Going to stay in your beautiful island for a little over a month.
Is there any way to rent a car without it being 1000 euros?

Hey all — I’m looking to connect with private chefs in Cyprus (or anyone with professional cooking experience open to doing private dinners) around Limassol, Paphos, Nicosia, Larnaca, or Ayia Napa.

If that’s you, or you know someone, feel free to comment or DM me — would love to hear what you do, where you’re based, and how you usually take on private bookings.

Anywhere to go in Limassol on a Tuesday?

Read a few posts on here and it seems the sentiment is things are too expensive for locals here to be going out during the week, unfortunately i am here for the first time during the week and would like to be somewhere with a bit of noise 😂

Any suggestions at all? Don’t mind getting a taxi or whatever, I’m by myself, just wondering is there anywhere that’ll have a few people around, tourists or not?

Help Rude staff at Paphos airport

Did anybody have issues at Paphos airport?

We travelled back from Paphos, Cyprus on 23rd August at 18:35 and were charged for 3 extra pieces of luggage at the gate. One of our bags, which was a duty free bag (as we made multiple purchases at the airport shops) was charged as extra luggage just because we put a few personal items in the bag as it was more convenient than getting our backpacks off. They didn't give us time to put the personal items away just pay and get out. Also they were extremely rude and unprofessional. Completely ruined the 8 days we spent in Cyprus with this bullshitting at the airport.

Could I please use someone's photos of Achaios Shipwreck for a blog? I can give credit to you!

I love the Achaios Shipwreck and would like to write about it in a travel blog.

Unfortunately, I have not been to Cyprus or had the chance to travel there yet.

Please may I use someone's photos of the shipwreck? Of course I can mention your name as credit!

I would really appreciate it, as there are not many good photos on the internet nor photos with creative commons..

Thank you in advance!

Help Flights over Nicosia?

We live in the area of Nicosia close to the Green Line and the commercial planes currently flightinh in and out of Ercan airport are passing over our houses and littersly our whole buildings can feel them. I don't really care if it is for a small amount of time but has anyone heard anything about theis or when will it end?

I assumed Turkey has some military excercise in the north that stops the commercial planes from flying from thei usual route?

Couldn't find anything recent online

Let's pay a respect to this true hero

Copy/paste from Ahmet Said Sayın's (https://www.facebook.com/Ahmet.S.Sayin) facebook post:

1 September 2026

Admin: Another hero.

Social media is talking about this young man. I have seen some posts by people I know who knew him well.

20‑year‑old Süleyman Erdoğan first tried to evacuate people and rescued two little girls.

His sister explained that he saw the children as he was leaving the ship, told his friend to wait, and carried one to safety. While trying to save the second, the vessel began to sink completely. With the child in his arms, he asked someone nearby to take her out.

Since then, there has been no news of him.

Maybe enough with the propaganda against Israel in this sub?

Every day it is published here anew how bad Israel is and wants to conquer Cyprus. It doesn't even make sense so why say it. The Israelis really love your island and you, why be against it.

Maybe instead of dealing with Israel, you should deal with Turkey, which wants to conquer the island.

Ercan is probably the only airport that services a single country more than Paphos/larnaca and that’s due to international law

Found an old real elephant tusk in my grandfather’s basement - what can I legally do with it?

So I found a full elephant tusk in my grandfather’s basement. It’s definitely real and from what I know it has been there for many years.

I honestly don’t want to keep it, so I’m trying to figure out what I can legally do with it. Ideally I’d like to sell it if that’s possible, but I know there are laws around ivory.

I’m in Cyprus. I don’t have any documents for it and I have no idea exactly how old it is.

Has anyone dealt with something like this before? Is there somewhere I can take it to get it dated/certified and find out if it can legally be sold?

Not trying to sell it here, just looking for advice on what my options are.

How can I watch NHL games in Cyprus?

Important info: I only have a Cyprus bank card and a Cyprus phone number. I used to be subscribed to NHL. com on DAZN but they cancelled their partnership for the upcoming season. The official website says to watch on Disney+ now, which is NOT available in Cyprus. There must be some legal way, right?
