Need to find a new shampoo bc I feel like I’m losing my mind

I’m not exaggerating with the title. Basically, I’ve tried a ton of different shampoos over the years. When I was younger, they used to cause me some pretty nasty hairline acne. I’ve managed to steer clear and now they just cause serious scalp itchiness. Sometimes it comes with dandruff, usually it doesn’t. I’ve tried every sulfate-free mainstream shampoo I can find and it hasn’t fixed the issue. Going for moisturizing shampoos greases up my hair like it’s nobody’s business too. It’s been a genuine nightmare trying to find a shampoo that doesn’t make me itch and also doesn’t turn my hair into something worthy of being raided by the US military within 12 hours of washing. The only shampoo that’s worked is, annoyingly, Head & Shoulders, which I really hate using bc it’s not the best otherwise. I just figure there must be some ingredient in that that my scalp agrees with, so maybe I can find it in other shampoos that aren’t that one and get the same effect? Or maybe there’s a supplemental product I can use in addition to shampoo to resolve this? It’s genuinely been driving me insane, my scalp has a bunch of scabs on it from itching and I’m so disgusted with it 😭

My hair always looks dirty ?

A few months ago my hairstylist was cutting my hair and asked if I started using a different shampoo, which I had...she said stop using it now because there was a tonnn of buildup on my hair.

Since then I've kept trying different things to make my hair go back to how it was, but I don't know what the issue is. I went back to the shampoo I was using before. I've started using the kristen ess clarifying shampoo once a week. I double shampoo my hair every other day. As always, I only use conditioner on the roots and ends.

Otherwise, I dont know how to solve the problem T-T I dont use any other products on my hair and I style it with a hot round brush. My hair has always been dry and coarse. Has anyone else experinced this problem, and is there any other things I can try to troubleshoot the issue ?
