Fluff What the F*** Could I Possibly Be Building

I stopped playing for a year, and came back to this being my character. For reference I have almost 2000 hours in the game (not a brag, more embarrassing), so I know what I'm doing when it comes to making builds. I typically either do fun builds, or challenge runs.

But after a year of not playing, I am baffled at how dumb this build looks. I KNOW I had a vision, but I can't figure it out at all. I am right before the Abyss Watchers, the only reason I'm low level is probably because I usually don't die in the first quarter of the game, so I don't stack any souls.

I started the game as a thief, and clearly I've dumped every single point into strength, however I'm still using the Bandit's Knife, so it's probably my end game weapon. Literally the only build I can conceive of is a dagger-greatshield build. Using a heavy gem on the knife, and hiding behind a shield for quick jabs. Maybe using heavy magic shield? I can't see why else I'm absolutely dumping everything into strength

(I'm not sure why I don't have the silver serpent ring)

What builds would you all use with these stats, if you couldn't respec? I'm thinking of doing the shield thing, it might be fun, but if you have any other suggestions, aside from a basic bonk build, I'm all ears

OHHH MY GOODNESS GRACIOUS THIS TOOK ME FOREVER TO DO. It's probably not even worth it considering some covenants dont need 30 to get plat.

Help Advice for the twin princes?

Specifically the second phase? I can get through the first phase alright (after like 50 previous tries lol), but the second phase is killing me. There’s just so much going on with the stupid spells and crap, idek what to do

I’m playing a strength build. The main issue I’m having is he teleports everywhere, making it hard to dodge because I pretty much panic role since I can’t find him in time.

Edit: THE FUCKING TELEPORTING! I try staying behind him, AND HE STILL TELEPORTS!!!

Question Is Dark Hand good?

I played the game for the first time like 6 years ago when I was 11 and used the Dark Hand all the way until the fight with Lorien and Lothric when my brother told me to change weapons. I stared playing the game again like a week ago and got the Dark Hand for nostalgia sake but noticed it can't be upgraded. Curious as to whether it was ever good or is actually good is some way.

…that is done. From the hours of farming to having to do nearly every single boss in NG++ run just for the remaining damn rings. Need a rest. Looking forward to not seeing the Nameless King for a long while.

Discussion Just started ds3, what class and build should I go for?

I’m completely kidding of course I went with mercenary. I knew the game would be more like er instead of ds 1+2 which I just finished so I’m going back to dex instead of strength, looked up some dex weapons, saw the sellsword winblades, saw that you can fucking start with them for some fucking reason, and of course I went mercenary.

Fluff Hello fellow Unkindled Ash

My roommates and I are starting the covenant item grind and I’m excited. I just started this game a week or two ago, and it’s already by far my favorite souls game I’ve played (out of ds1, bloodborne, sekiro, Elden ring) just wanted to share my excitement and interact a bit with this game’s amazing community!

Discussion I’ve never used Reddit before

But I know this is a good place to talk about these kinda games. I just played Dark souls 3 for the first time and it was also my first Souls game, and I stumbled my way across the End of fire ending where I summon the fire keeper and she extinguishes it and idk I just felt like coming on here and talking about the game because it was really fucking good and I used to be a competitive game player you know like r6 ect so this was a big switch up for me but damn man this game was an experience and it was hard and traumatising but I can’t wait to buy Elden ring now but I have the urge to replay this game as I used an Dexterity build so I didn’t get to use any pyromancys or whatever which wasn’t as cool but in Elden ring I’m going to go Ham on the Magic and stuff. But what do you guys think of that ending I found it really poetic and kinda brought a tear to my eye almost 😂I do kinda wish I sat at the bonfire instead because that’s what I had imagined the ending to be and I kinda was looking forward to it but this ending was cool and I’ve never seen it and I’ve looked some up on YouTube but Yeah sorry for the waffle but got no one else to talk about this beautiful game

Discussion Ringed City DLC is quite something...

Edit: Midir down, thanks to helpful advice! Now for Gael... Hahaha

I've played every Souls game and beaten them all (multiple times for most) but I usually lose interest once I hit the DLC's.

I'm making it a point to beat ALL content in the next playthroughs- starting with Ds3, and go boy, I was not ready for Midir.

Seems like a great boss; I get the moveset. But damn it's tough to see what the hell is going on. I guess it's probably my fault for bad camera work; but that's been my biggest issue with the fight so far. I'll take any advice. Thx.
