Why does Mewtwo always have access to its mega evolution in death battles I know the rule about characters fighting at there best but only specific versions of Mewtwo can do this and it’s not supported by his other counterparts like main game Mewtwo or manga mewtwo yet people also use these versions to scale Mewtwo along with the anime which doesn’t make alot of sense to me considering all the lore and story contradictions i know Mewtwo will still have access to in the fight obviously but mainly asking why give Mewtwo this very specific privilege it’s almost like a handicap

The inclusion of the Phantom Ruby and using it as an argument against mind hax is so funny to me. That shit literally tears apart EVERY SINGLE ARGUMENT for the Sonic crew resisting having their minds messed with in base so Mewtwo has an even easier argument for turning Shadow's brain into spaghetti before Super Shadow comes out

Rayquaza fought and beat all 3 members of the creation trio during the hoopa movie. Therefore rayquaza scales to if not above the creation trio (ive heard the argument that the trio is weaker here but to my knowledge this is never actually stated, all we know is hoopa beat them first and took control of them which unironically makes unbound hoopa a top tier in the verse)

If mewtwo is comparable to rayquaza who scales to the trio, than mewtwo also scales to the trio
