Discussion Nuggets Official Offseason Trade Thread
With how disappointing the end of the season was, we’ve seen a ton of trade ideas and discussion popping up. To keep the main feed from getting too cluttered, we’re consolidating all trade proposals, mock deals, and speculation into this thread.
Drop your ideas, debate moves, and talk through what the Nuggets should do this offseason, all in one place. As always, sub rules still apply —> keep it respectful, no matter how wild the take might be.

Crystal ball: Nuggets play some good basketball, stay mostly healthy & make the playoffs as a 2/3 seed
Plenty of proud vets on this team that cannot be amused with the negative click-bait summer. We’ll be fine….perhaps much better than fine.

Video “This gentleman who was next to me (Nikola Jokic), our captain, was very sick for the last 3 days. He refused to give up and leave his team alone. He came to play and never complained. He did what he did, and that’s why we are so proud to have a captain like him.”

Can one of the Nuggets Podcasts go back and do a deep dive on actuals roads not traveled?
So thinking back on past Nuggets moves, other than marginal squeezing of free agents, it seems like the 2023 NBA Draft (and to a lesser extent 2024) is maybe the turning point that has led the roster to where it is, and more damningly, the playoff underperformance of the last few years.
Those two drafts led to the Nuggets spending 2 1st and 3 2nds for players that so far have led to a (very hype!) G6 2nd round win over OKC and not much else.
I'm wondering if there were moves, actual plausible moves under salary cap rules/players were available that they could have made particularly in 2023 that would have brought back Veteran players to replace BB/Jeff Green in particular.
There's other moves they burned picks on for no real benefit (Thomas Bryant, Javale McGee), and others they burned picks on for real benefit (Jerami Grant, Aaron Gordon) but those draft moves seemed like the most clearly harmful.
The other damaging moves seem to be too early free agent signings: MPJ Jamal CB whispers AG being maybe the main damaging ones. In total I'm not sure they cost us more than the 2031 1st + Peyton. There's also not a lot of non-Houston Rockets teams that really play hardball with their own players (See the Jaylen Brown + Joel Embiid extensions, among others).
Anyway, Locked on Nuggets, Pickaxe and Roll, DNVR, whoever is out there, what was the missing move that gives Denver the 2024 championship?

Average Joes Members - How is it?
Calling on any Average Joes alumni out there - what's your experience been like? What was the audition process like? Would/did you do it again?
I'm thinking about auditioning! It's outside my comfort zone but I think I would enjoy it.
