Champ 2006 season was one of the best from a db. IMO one of the best man to man corners to play in the league

George Paton, Denver Broncos Lose Justin Joly, Can't Hit on Tight End

George Paton has drafted well for the Broncos overall since 2021.

But he can't hit on a tight end. They moved up to draft Justin Joly, cut him, and he was claimed by the Miami Dolphins.

It was another in a long list of tight ends Paton drafted who haven't done much for Denver.

Plus, Evan Engram was a disappointment last year. Hopefully he can bounce back in 2026, but it may be time to adjust our expectations of the soon to be 32-year old.

Have the Broncos addressed their penalty problems?

I haven’t heard much about the penalty struggles this offseason and was curious if any of the coaches mentioned it. It was a huge problem last season, and Moss took most of the heat for it. Unfortunately, it was an entire team problem and I was hoping the team was addressing it. One of the reasons I thought of this has been because of the stupid 1 score game discourse. I’d argue that a bunch of those games were directly tied to the insane amount of penalties the broncos gave up and those games shouldn’t have come down to 1 score to begin with. Tough to win games when you spot every team a 70 yard scoring drive worth of penalties.

Dallen Bentley

A lot is being made of the fact that we waived 5th round draft pick Justin Joly. And while I understand the concern, we should take a minute to discuss the elephant in the room.

6’ 4” 255 pound TE Dallen Bentley beat out not only Justin Joly but also vet TE Lucas Krull to earn his roster spot.

From a physical standpoint I like the idea of having a guy with his build on the roster and I’m excited to see him get some reps over the likes of Trautman this year.

I mean look at this fucking Chad.

Does anyone have the Broncos vs Giants (October 19, 2025) game day program?

Hi there…long shot here. My son and I went to the amazing giants game last October. It turned him into a total broncos fanatic. He’s 7 years old. He lives and breathes for the broncos! Last night we came to the realization as he was arranging his broncos swag that we don’t have the program from that epic game. Does anyone by chance have the program that wouldn’t mind letting it go?

[Bedinger]Justin Joly fumbled during 7-on-7 in camp. He allegedly started a dust-up that eventually escalated to Bo Nix being involved. Whole defense celebrated after Joly took a big hit from Taurean York. Whole defense celebrated after Joly's big play taken back by OPI.

Likely some more reasoning as to why Joly was cut

[Roark] #Broncos OLB Jonathon Cooper pled not guilty to all charges. There will be a trial set for Nov. 10, 12, and 13 per Mike Klis. My guess is that Cooper will remain on Commissioner's Exempt List. Determination of suspension will likely be contingent upon outcome of trial dates above.

Drew Sanders

I’ve been listening to the DNVR broncos podcast almost daily for the last 3-4 years and I’ve never heard the cast talk the way they talk about Drew Sanders situation. Usually if a player isn’t panning out or causing problems they’ve either talked about it directly or made clear enough indirect comments to get the point across that they’re not a good fit.

For some reason though all of them almost sound like they’re holding back a secret and trying to avoid talking about Drew Sanders. Today’s episode RK said “this is the last we’ve seen of Drew Sander’s in a Broncos jersey. We’ll talk about him in 6 months,” and chuckled.

WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED WITH DREW SANDERS?! I told my wife about it and now she’s interested and trying to do some investigating.

Did he punch Payton? Did he sleep with a teammates SO? Is he a nepo pick? What’s the deal?!?

Finally went to my first football game ever and got to see the last preseason game of the year. Aside from being blown away but just how massive some of these players are in person I also brought my film camera along to capture the memory and figured I would share some shots. I’m hooked now I have to see more games in person!

Zag: the media “disrespecting” Bo is only good for us and him

Yes, at times it’s annoying seeing poor say he sucks, etc

That said, him being undervalued by media, other fans, etc has two major benefits:

  1. It’ll motivate him (hopefully) and keep a chip on his shoulder to continue to be a killer. The last thing we’d want is for him to get a big head and start suing his college because someone else is using his number

  2. It will help us at extension negotiation. Maybe not a huge amount, but when the ‘24 QBs all start wrangling for big contracts, I think it’ll help if he has less accolades and hopefully will be the cheapest of the bunch

That said, not sure what excuses the media will make to continue to disrespect him after we win the Super Bowl this year
