[Schultz] Sources: The #Eagles are signing former #Ravens CB Robert Longerbeam.
I was confused why he didn’t make it to the practice squad but I guess he was looking for another opportunity.

[Yahoo Sports]How did Ravens coach Jesse Minter end up rapping Eminem for the team? Inside Baltimore’s culture shift, where young play-callers are more than just young
sports.yahoo.comOffensive coordinator Declan Doyle hadn't expected to sing, but the detail-oriented coach considered his cues as he reached the front of the room.
"Similar to how I call plays, I was thinking about like, 'All right, what are the boys going to know?'" Doyle told Yahoo Sports. "You watch rookie performances and they're literally all about enthusiasm. And as long as you don't forget the words, and you're enthusiastic and you have energy, you should be fine."
So Doyle pulled off his rendition of "Shot for Me" by Drake. Then momentum turned toward the Ravens head coach.

Ravens division schedule
Anyone else find trend for ravens to have most of their division games at end of season getting a little old?
I am fine with playing division teams at end of season to hopefully determine division winner, but I also would love to see an opening day steelers game once in a while. We have division games in week 6 browns, and 7 Bengals, then finish season with 4 straight division games. I think its a little advantage to ravens having bye in week 13 before a stretch of 5 games, 4 to end season against steelers twice, browns and Bengals 1 each.
Also why are we even playing bills this season?

Justice Hill is the second longest-tenured active running back who has remained continuously with the same NFL team
Only Alvin Kamara has a longer career with a single team, with the Saints since 2017
Justice Hill was drafted in 2019 in the fourth round
- He’s now the 5th longest tenured Raven on the team, after being 4th round RB pick
- Only Stanley, Lamar, Humphrey, and Andrews are longer tenured Ravens, all of those guys have eight to nine figure contracts
- Justice Hill is now on his third contract with the Ravens despite being 4th round running back.
- Despite tearing his Achilles in 2021, his running efficiency has only increased throughout the years, averaging above league average 4.7 YPC
- He’s outlasted RBs on the team such as Gus Edwards, JK Dobbins, Keaton Mitchell, Mark Ingram
- His first year on the team in 2019, Lamar was playing his first full year, Greg Roman was in his first year as Ravens OC, Mark Ingram was RB1, Marshall Yanda was still playing
- Justice has been in Lamar’s backfield for his entire full-season QB1 career
- Justice was in the backfield for both of Lamar’s MVP seasons
- Average RB career in the NFL is 3.3 years, Justice is 2.42x the average RB career

[Shaffer] Ethan Burke, a Maryland native, had a Ray Lewis jersey growing up and went as him a few times for Halloween.

The narrative about Lamar running is false.
If Lamar is a QB in which his legs are the reason he is successful then why doesn’t Justin Fields or Anthony Richardson have 3 AP 1st team, 2 MVP* awards, and the among the highest qbr in nfl history? Justin fields is probably faster than Lamar but yet doesn’t quite have the same success and Richardson was basically a more physically gifted Lamar. Lamar’s legs help him but his NFL IQ is what allows he to be a true duel threat. The fact that he went from a pro style offense in college to a rpo heavy under Roman to a spread offense under Moniken and had success is something that is one of a kind. Most QBs struggle when having to change systems and yet he has two mvp trophies and 3 all pros.
* is for the third mvp he should have.

Ravens bar (or place to watch game) not too far off I-95 between New Haven, CT and Boston?
We're travelling up the east coast on Sept 27 and would love to find a place to watch the Ravens game. Flexible on location (see above) but would prefer not too far off I-95 since we'll continue driving north after the game. Any recs?

Jake Moody to practice Squad
I know the whole practice squad has been posted here but I felt like a kicker taking up one of the spots was pretty important and should be posted separately

Joe Fagnano is the only Ravens QB to make 53 man roster as UDFA
QBs like snoop and brown started on PS then promoted to original team

Discussion Captain Patches
Do you guys think Coach Minter is going to bring out captain patches this season or continue the tradition of weekly captains?
