The ranch is pleasant, quiet, family-friendly, wooded, and welcoming. It is a 20 minutes drive to the parks during the day, but at least 30 minutes (or more) in the morning due to traffic jams at the parking lot entrance. Then, allow another 30 minutes to walk to the park entrance itself. That makes for a full hour between closing your mobile home door and actually getting inside the park—essentially the same travel time as staying at an Airbnb or a standard hotel.

Over our three-day trip, we made the mistake on the second day of trying to go to the parks in the morning, coming back in the afternoon to eat at the bungalow and enjoy the pool, and then heading back to the parks for the evening. It adds up to four hours of commuting in a single day—it was exhausting, and we felt like we were constantly rushing between 8 AM and 11 PM (though I suppose it counts as exercise—hooray for walking 15–20 km a day).

I’d recommend sticking to just one trip to the park per day; it’s much more pleasant.

The pool area is really nice and spacious. I usually get cold easily, but I found it easy to get into the water (I checked later: it’s heated to 29°C). Plus, the hot tub is supervised and has a limit on the number of people allowed in, so you can relax in peace without being crowded by others.

The bungalow was spacious and well-laid out. A downside: the air conditioning was turned off, even though it was hot—especially with three people sharing a small bedroom. There were no mosquito screens on the windows; being right in the middle of the forest, you can guess the consequences: we were overrun by mosquitoes—with their unbearable buzzing in our ears—and ended up with dozens of bites. A major issue for us was that my second daughter is allergic; the bites cause huge, pus-filled welts 😥. We had read that there was A/C, so we hadn't thought to bring our own mosquito nets. For anyone else with the same issue: bring along travel mosquito nets 😅

Otherwise, the fridge is large—perfect for big families. Having two bathrooms and two toilets is also a plus. The beds were comfortable.

Everything was clean, except for the shower ceilings, which were covered in mold caused by humidity (it came off when I rubbed it with my finger).

Hi all, my (30f) other half (37m) are heading to dlp later this month and I know he's popping the big question then (I don't know when exactly, but I know it's on this trip (he knows I hate surprises so this is a 'managed surprise we are both happy with) so I was wondering what little thing I could do for him to show him how much I love him too?

I've booked us Pyms (we have an in joke about pretzels) and chez Remy for some romantic meals, I'm not sure what else I can add to those?

I was thinking something like Mickey waffles or pancakes or ice cream but a lot of the places seem closed when we're there. We've never been to adventure world (we were last there two years ago) so is there a cute sweet van etc? I just want him to feel loved and special.

I know it’s so long away but just booked for January 2028 and I’m really looking forward to it. It’ll be our second trip but first time staying at Disneyland Hotel so maybe that’s why!!

It's basically in the title. It has been a lifelong dream and I (27, F) have been looking forward to this experience for a while now. I have never been to any other Disneyland park so thankfully I will have less to be disappointed by, as I have seen in this subreddit!

I scored these tickets for pretty cheap using company benefits as an alternance (apprenticeship) and I'm taking my best friend with me (her first time too!) I'm just so excited.

We are going on the 4th Sep, so I expect it to be busy but still manageable. We also plan to be there by 9AM, to maximise our full-day at Disneyland Parc. We only have access to one park, so we choose this option.

So I would love your advice on how to make the best of our day, have the most amazing time ever! We also have budgeted for one meal (max 25 EUR) inside the parc, so any absolutely worth it experience foodwise recommendations would also be appreciated.

I really hope we can go on every ride, meet most of characters, see the parades, basically do everything but I'm aware that I'm being optimistic.

Any practical tips/consideration for first timers would also be super appreciated.

We are driving back from our first visit with our daughter celebrating her 4th birthday this week so I thought I’d share our experience as we used this sub so much in planning!

Prep - we didn’t plan when we would do anything, but we had a wishlist of recommendations of rides/attractions/characters suited for her age and ranked top/medium/low. this was SO helpful to refer back to, but meant we were still kind of free to roam and relax.

Rides:

Frozen - she enjoyed, does have a drop which we prepared her for & she was OK with. The queues are mad, I never saw below 80 minutes except at 8:30 for first ride so one for magic hour or fast pass.

ratatouille - we all loved this, one of the best rides.

Rapunzel/magic carpet/quatre ralley - all decent rides she enjoyed

Slinky spin- she LOVED, pure joy. We did once on day 1 & 3x back to back during magic hour for day 2.

spiderman & buzz - v loud and she didn’t love.

autopia - this is a car driving one and she could driver herself, was her request to do a final time before we left.

caseys coaster/its a small world/pays de /lancelot carousel - all near to eachother and very chilled, none the best or worst rides.

peter pan & toy soldiers - saved these for day 2 and then they closed for refurb which was disappointing.

Characters:

Jessie & Woody were both absolutely amazing. Their teams were incredible, they went the extra mile for bringing the magic. Elsa & Anna, Mickey & Minnie were good but not amazing.

The virtual queue was so helpful and limited queue time hugely for Jessie, Elsa/anna & Mickey, tbh they need to make more of them virtual queues as the queing for Minnie/friends was horrendous and I wouldn’t do again. Thankfully we got Minnie but if we had queued for 90 minutes for clarabell I would have been gutted as my daughter doesn’t even know who she is, the whole Minnie Mouse character process needs to be better.

Shows:

The Mickey show was great, the Minnie and frozen shows were a little meh but still good. it was a shame the together show wasn’t on as that sounds great. The main parade was amazing, it’s only on once a day so make sure you check when. The fireworks show was genuinely great, better than expected. The Princess cavalcade /million colours mini parades were also good and happened a few times so were good to be aware of and create magic as you walk around the park.

Food/Other.

We ate at Walt’s, I was surprised by how good the food was, genuinely one of the nicest meals I’ve had. Watching my daughter watch the parade from the window was really special. We brought packed lunch & ate at our accomodation the rest of the time, but got a few Mickey snacks out. We would have liked to do character dinner but it was £250 plus drinks for 2 adults & 1 child which just felt too much.

We got her a birthday badge from city hall & it was great, they took her out back & got Mickey to call her to say happy birthday - I don’t think everyone gets this but the person in front of us took ages sorting something & it was a really nice touch to create more magic.

Accomodation:

We stayed at centerparcs and it was great, would definitely do again. We booked a package with parking included. The pool was huge, the farm had a huge indoor/outdoor play area, she could feed the goats, there was a forest play area, cute little bakery & a lake. Felt chill and meant we really made the most of our travel days.

We just came back from our trip to DLP. It was our first time with our 3yo. And I just wanted to share our experience.

Day 1
First off, it was truly magical. We drove from the Netherlands to Paris on day 1. We booked an offsite hotel for the first night. It was a long drive and we wanted to build things up. So we only went to the Disney Village, to do some light shopping and have dinner at Brasserie Rosalie (highly recommend this; good food at very low prices imo compared to the Netherlands).

Day 2
- The second day we booked the Disneyland Hotel. We arrived here at 07h45. It was magical. It was my first time staying at the hotel and upon arrival, I have to admit, I got goosebumps, even though I had researched everything and watched videos for months. We dropped our luggage and went to the Adventure World gate at 08h10. By this time, there was already a long queue!
- We were in by 08h20 during EMT and rushed our way to Frozen Ever After (our toddler's favourite Disney film is Frozen atm). We got in at 08h45. She loved the beginning! But the drops.. even though we had prepared her for the two drops, she still found it scary.
- We continued to Slinky, Spiderman and Rapunzel. Our toddler loved the rides but did find some rides loud. We then went to the Stitch show, which she enjoyed.
- We did the virtual queue for the Anna and Else character meet and were able to get in at 11h00. This was by far the highlight of our toddler's day! I'm amazed how much time you get to spend with the princesses. They really take their time to interact and our toddler was so happy she got to meet them!
- At 13h00 we went back to the hotel and enjoyed a little show on the stairs, where our toddler was able to meet and take a photo with Rapunzel (her second favourite Disney film). You can imagine how happy she was (and we were) and it already felt like it was worth booking the Disney Hotel.
- At 13h30 we had lunch at the Royal Banquet. Where our toddler got to meet Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Pluto. The characters were so lovely and really took the time to interact with her and take lots of photos. We weren't sure about it at first but are now so happy we booked it. Our toddler is not a picky eater so she went for everything in the buffet almost! We were curious about the seafood (we love seafood). Sadly it wasn't fresh seafood. But the variety of the desserts did make up for it (the rose, the red velvet, the mini cream cones etc).
- We spent the afternoon at the pool, because we knew the parks would be crowded anyways. This was such a good call. Because it was empty and we got to have the pool for ourselves.
- We did some 'quiet time' in the room until 18h00 and went into Disneyland Park. Here we were able to do Mad Hatter's Tea Cups, It's a Small World, Lancelot's Carousel, Casey Jr's Train ride and the Storybook Boat. She loved them all and seeing her enjoy it, was everything.
- Our only bad call was going into Pirates. Our toddler was definitely not a fan. And kept saying, even on the ride back, how she doesn't want to do Pirates the next time!
- We went back to the hotel at 21h00 and put on Disney+ until she fell asleep.

Day 3
- We got up for breakfast at 07h30 (didn't open earlier sadly). We got a table by the window, which was great, because the view on the park is simply magical. There were plenty of breakfast options so we fueled up for the day.
- At 08h30 we got into Disneyland Park. We went on Buzz Lightyear, Mad Hatter's Tea Cups, Lancelout's Carousel and Casey Jr Train ride again.
- At 10h30 we went back to the hotel for checkout and we had also booked a Royal Encounter at the Royal Kids Club. At this point our toddler had already seen so many princesses, this was just a great extra.
- We stayed at the club to do some colouring and then went into Adventure World. Here we did Rapunzel again and we went to the Mickey and the Magician show. This was such a great way to end our trip.
- We grabbed lunch at the Hollywood Gardens. The fries were bland but the burger was better than expected. I would say it sits somewhere between a McDonald's and a Five Guys burger.
- We drove home and that was the end of our trip.

It was our first trip and it was a successful one. I'm still in the Disney bubble and we're already looking at prices for next year. I don't regret spending a bit more on the Disneyland Hotel and the Royal Banquet because we had such a good time. And we really did most during EMT and after 20h so it really is a benefit staying onsite.

Things I'd do differently next time:
- While I thought the Superior Room (1420, Aladdin theme, hotel bridge view) was great already, I would book Castle Club next time. I had no idea about it until after we had already booked. But now I would happily spend the extra money for a bit more ease and comfort. The princess breakfast for me would be one reason, and the access to the lounge too. We didn't really like the offerings in the park that much anyway, so might as well just enjoy some small bites in the lounge.
- I'd spend more time at the Royal Kids Club. This was actually very nice and I regret only doing it on the day of departure. There's also a free daycare option for children 4y and up. I definitely see us doing that while we book a spa session (which is right next to the kids club).
- I'd book at least 2 nights the next time. We didn't want to overwhelm our toddler for the first trip but next trip I'd definitely do 2 or 3 nights at the hotel. Even though we were able to cross off all things on our list, having more days would have given us more time to enjoy the hotel more and the shows perhaps.
- For our toddler's age, probably it wasn't a good choice to go into Pirates, Spiderman and Buzz Lightyear. It did get very loud at times. Even the Frozen ride wasn't a hit for her because of the drops. Maybe when we go next year, it will be different.
- We felt 3 was still small to do the Royal Dream. But next year we definitely want to do this.

So,I'm planning to make my first trip ever to Disneyland in Paris around mid October or somewhere around that,can you guys with more experience tell me what will the weather be like around then? Will it be worth going in October? And do you have any tips and tricks I could use?

But I’m planning a visit to Paris on the first weeks of October and would like to visit both parks in one day.

I’m not that interested in all the rides, maybe walking through the parks and going on the main ones. I love the Tower of Terror so that’s one of the reasons I want to visit Adventure. I loved it back on Anaheim.

Do you think it is possible? What should I avoid?

I am trying to decide whether it’s good to book an extra day to stay for the first day of Halloween festivities on the 26th of September. Our flight leaves that evening at 11 pm so wondering what time does the Halloween parade take place? We will need to leave the park by 7.40 latest. Is this the “stars on parade” showing near midday? The online calendar doesn’t currently show anything remotely Halloween in nature. In addition, where will there be other things throughout the day that would make it worth it to stay?

One final question: what is taking over the “million splashes of colour” celebration?! Is anything new coming in September?

Hi. I’m looking at purchasing gold passes with the intention of the first trip being the last week of October. The chap I spoke to at Disney, said he didn’t want to get my hopes up and says there’s a 70% that week will hit capacity, and we’ll be stuck in an Airbnb with not much to do! I just wounded if any gold pass holders had experienced this, and if you have any tips.

Does anyone have any experience with buying eco tickets? In particular, I’ve heard that they are technically linked to an individual (I believe?) and so I worry that I may be turned away at the gate, even if I reserved a slot that day.

Whilst I would love to know why, I know I probably will never, but today we were at the 1620hrs Minnie’s dream factory show and had the strangest experience.

It was maybe 5 minutes in, just as Donald Duck enters. As he did, he just walked off and all the cast legged it off the stage. Within seconds there was an announcement saying the show was cancelled and the house lights were on and cast members directing people out.

Totally bizzare, out of nowhere and I’ll be eternally frustrated at not having the answer as to why.

The show must go on! (Except for Minnie and her dream factory).

Hello all - we have a booking for a compass club suite at Newport Bay at the end of September - at the time of booking the New York hotel didn’t show availability around the same price range, but now we can get an empire state club room for slightly more than the suite at NPB.

If they were both standard rooms I’d definitely go for New York based on reviews I’ve read, but given the Newport Bay room is a suite are we better off sticking with that? Or is the NY hotel much better? Both are club rooms so have the breakfast/afternoon tea benefits. Anyone have experience with both?

My husband and I will be going to DLP for two days on October 7th and 8th (just the one park, we’re skipping Adventure World because we hope to go back in a few years.) We land on the 7th at ORLY at 9:30am then leave 9:30pm the following day, and we’re staying at the Disneyland Hotel.

We want to make use of our time there; we’re both looking forward to attractions and shopping.

My first question is, is magic shuttle worth it? I’ve heard mixed reviews and we want to get to where we need to be as quickly as possible. Because our flight from Paris is at 9:30pm, we want to leave as late as possible. We will only have carry on bags and we will be flying back to Lisbon to meet back with my family.

This brings me to my next questions, is the one park possible to do in two days? We are park open to close people. Is it worth creating some sort of itinerary? Is it possible to shop too? My non negotiables are World of Disney, the Emporium, the story book shop, and the Disneyland Hotel gift shop.

How would you maximize the value of a 1-Day Park Hopper ticket? Provided that:

We have visited the 4 WDW parks during its 50th Anniversary. It was quite magical and the celebratory vibes were felt everywhere. The shows were case in point and as it was in January, the lines were not that long.

Now, I will be in Paris by mid-October and would like to hear from you, what would be your strategy to do both parks on a single day. I am going with my mom and my 14 y.o. sister. We all did go to the WDW parks.

1. We care for the classic shoot in front of the castle.
2. But, would like to know the Frozen and the Avengers lands in Adventure World
3. But would like to ride the "Space Mountain" (sorry if I am not updated).
4. But would like to ride the Tower of Terror
5. But would like to see the night show in front of the castle.
6. But doing a Disney vacation in Paris really concerns us. Because we could easily use the other day to do more sightseeing in the city.

It’s been nearly 20 years since I last went and back then meal plans didn’t exist as far as I remember and Breakfast at your hotel was included in the price with the option to add a buffet dinner at the Hotel as well. But now adays everything has changed and it looks nobody goes without a complicated meal plan and everything preplanned. Mainly had dinner at the now gone Planet Hollywood or the Hotel if that was too busy and only ever had counter service within the parks themselves. Wouldn’t mind doing something similar if possible
