Natasha has been patiently waiting since the end of May for someone to notice her. She's one of those wonderful dogs who somehow slips through the cracks, and that's exactly how dogs become long-term shelter residents. Let's change her story before she becomes urgent.
This beautiful 3-year-old sweetheart is the definition of a gentle soul. She may be a little shy when you first meet her, but give her a moment and you'll be rewarded with happy wiggles, a loving personality, and the sweetest companionship.
We had the chance to spend some time with Natasha outside the kennel, and she was an absolute joy. She walked nicely on leash, happily strolled alongside Rocky and Dahlia, loved every treat she was offered, and thoroughly enjoyed her dog kebab. She's friendly, affectionate, and the kind of girl who seems grateful for every bit of kindness she receives.
One thing that really stood out to us... Natasha's original shelter Facebook post listed her at 58 lbs, but her current weight on the shelter website is now 48 lbs. That's a heartbreaking 10-pound loss. Just like so many dogs who spend too long in the shelter, kennel stress can take a serious toll. Dogs often stop eating well, lose weight, and slowly begin to shut down. It's a reminder that they aren't just waiting—they're struggling.
Natasha doesn't need to be the loudest dog in the kennel. She just needs one person to see how special she is.
