This week is our last session in a campaign that’s gone on a year. My husband has been an amazing DM, is there anything I can get him/do for him to celebrate the completion of the campaign? I would do special food/drinks with the group but we play online and he doesn’t like to snack while he DMs.

Laid out the ruined manor using a combination of Dwarven Forge and Dungeons and Lasers dungeon tiles to create multi-room encounters for the party.

The session took them through the haunted corridors, fighting off spectral warriors and giant spider ambushes, before confronting the tragic remnant knights of the Order of the Silver Dragon. Pictured outside is the silver dragon statue standing vigil over the courtyard entrance.

I am working on a DnD campaign to run at some point in the future and need help coming up with some adventure sites/locations/quests etc to flesh it out.

Are there any good collections of adventures/dungeons that I can take, reflavour and reskin and drop in?

For example good dungeons with interesting layouts, mechanics and puzzles. I can then theme it however I want and add a cool macguffin they gotta find. Or perhaps an adventure around a prison break or a heist or a ball that I can add my own stamp to?

I find as a DM I can be good at adapting things to fit my campaign, add narative etc. but I need help coming up with the initial basis for an adventure. My dungeons I design are just boring room after room in a linear fashion.

So does such a collection exist? The more I can find the better as I can then just read through and pick the best. Theme or flavour makes no difference to me - I'll change the vibe completely if needed, switch out enemies etc.

Hello all, I am designing a table for D&D and I would love to get some opinions. I started mocking it up in OnShape (there will be a link at the bottom), and while it makes sense to me, I wanted to see if this is absolutely insane to do.

I currently have 7 players in my campaign, so having a large table space is important to me. Also, in my family we love to have big gatherings and play board games so having a large table that isn't just for D&D would be nice. Also also, I would like to be able to break it down and create a smaller table as seen in the last slide (Which clearly has issues currently).

I realize that there are already some issues with what I have drawn (like the support going right into the DM spot). This is still an early mockup, but I want to get some feedback on options you all would enjoy in a game table/D&D table. Whether that is outlets or cup holders. Or more on the construction side like different supports or joinery options. I love feedback so don't hold back.

I played around a bit with doing a protective edge that goes around the whole table, still deciding how that might work/attach.

Budget isn't really a concern as some of my players have expressed interest in helping financially and physically, but I probably won't be building this for a few months (Still working on buying a house). That doesn't mean I want to spend $5000 building a table though. I want it to be somewhat reasonable.

Arthurian tales are based in strange tales, pagan lore and druidic magic. There's a dude whose swinging arm gets stronger based on the position of the sun in the sky. A several mile wide wasteland is the result of a magical nuke. What can I give my players as rewards that fit within the very odd realm of Arthurian mythos?

For reference, the players are all Knights. Horses, Armor and a missing from God. I've discussed it with my players and they know what they're in for.

I run a digital display (tv) face up on the table to display battle maps and we play directly on the screen. I've given projectors and dry erase a shot. What kind of setup are you running? Any other digital display folks out there?

In celebration of Arcana Unleashed I've made something for all the guys, gals and thalls who don't wanna touch a crusty old spell book, recite some silly old prayer or song, The Manual of Martial Prowess. This is a collection of homebrew rules meant as an overhaul of the martial, non-spellcasting, classes. These rules are meant to serve as a major bump in power and versatility for martial characters (barbarian, fighter, monk and rogue) and slight bumps for the other weapon using classes (paladin and ranger). It includes feats covering each weapon mastery, and weapon properties as well as a reworking of the battle masters maneuvers for the martial classes called combat technjiques. These include several new techniques not previously from the battle masters maneuvers. The manual also includes a series of optional feats for the various weapon using classes and a revised battle master subclass. Finally, I've also introduced a new mechanic called Signature Techniques, which are powerful abilities that grow as your character gains levels (think along the lines of an anime protagonist's special attack and you'll have an idea what I'm going for). The signature techniques listed in this manual are not fully balanced against one another and are in an early draft form, so I am very eager to receive some feedback here and suggestions for more signature techniques.

So I went and bought the Dragons of Stormwreck Isle starter set

That being said, I am so confused as to how to prepare it as the DM, is there a script I can freestyle off while using?

A map?

Do I need to make/buy figures

The Inferno Wyrmblade is a Very Rare +2 sword forged around living flame. Every strike deals additional fire damage, but its real strength comes from its larger abilities: Inferno Cleave sweeps a 15-foot cone with fire, Unquenchable Flame helps its wielder endure cold, and Phoenix’s Resurgence can keep them standing at 1 hit point while wreathing them in retaliatory flames.

The Heart of the Volcano takes a more defensive approach. It grants resistance to fire damage and lets its bearer further reduce incoming fire with a reaction. Once per day, it can also release a wave of volcanic heat around the wielder, scorching chosen creatures and leaving the surrounding ground smoldering and difficult to cross.

Both are meant to feel like genuinely powerful elemental treasures rather than simply another weapon that deals extra fire damage: one embodies an aggressive, almost phoenix-like living flame, while the other channels the endurance and destructive pressure of a volcano.

This is a question for those who are also familiar with Zalazney’s Chronicles of Amber and its dice-less ttrpg.

Which character classes (and ancestries, for that matter) would you use to craft the members of the royal family? Yes, I am totally aware that the narrative and world building of Amber would not fit into the D&D rules. Especially since they are all basically reality manipulating gods. What I am asking is, if you were to make a high level character based on them (a Shadow, if you will. No reality manipulation nor walking through Shadow)), how would you do it?

Follow up, or bonus, how would you set up The Pattern? I actually have a rough idea for this, I am just curious what others think.

Dice bag #2 just died on me, and this time I sat down and figured out what I should have been checking all along. Posting so you don't repeat my mistakes:

1. Does it stand open on its own? Round-bottom drawstring bags tip over the moment you let go - so you end up holding the bag in one hand and digging with the other, every single session. A square or flat base means it sits open on the table like a bowl. Biggest quality-of-life difference by far, and listings almost never mention it.

2. What's the lining - and can metal dice live separately? My resin dice came out micro-scratched after months of sharing a pouch with metal ones. Yes, mixing them was partly my own fault (lesson learned) — but a rough synthetic interior turns that mistake into a rock tumbler. Soft cotton lining helps; pockets that keep metal away from resin entirely solve it.

3. Does the drawstring actually lock? A bare drawstring loosens in a backpack - that's how I once found stray d4s in my car a week later. A cord lock or clip costs the maker nothing, and it's the first thing that fails on cheap bags.

Bonus - check the pocket math. If it has pockets, each one should take multiple full sets, not one. Otherwise the "organizer" fills up long before your collection does.

What killed your last bag? And DMs - does your table-hauling bag of holding live by different rules than a player's one-set pouch?

It took me longer to get this out that expected! I hope you guys eat on it for a bit until I can get the next one out—first Legendary monsters, ahoy!

Character: Discordia, Human Artificer, with a Young Moon Dragon

Discordia and her twin sister Pandora were raised by a guild to use their talents to the benefit of the world. Discordia had a thirst for knowledge and a great talent for languages, and as she grew, she became absorbed in studies related to magic.

Discordia became a responsible adult, while her sister had always been more unruly. When they were old enough, Discordia and Pandora set out with their father to gain firsthand knowledge of the world and receive blessings from three goddesses.

Eventually, Discordia found a man to spend her life with, but an evil god meddled with the blessings of her wedding, darkening her big day. Soon after she surpassed her guildmaster in skill, but a vampire showed her powers she did not yet possess, and she sought out to obtain them without losing her humanity.

In the land of the Red Desert the moon god gave her guidance to find the robes and staff to fulfill her destiny, and she aided an elven nation seeking to migrate to an unspoiled island through the lands of the mountain people. This was just the beginning of her adventures…

About Moon Dragons:

Likes: moonlit activities, meeting lunar deities, good humor

Dislikes: being underground, magical darkness, deceitful shapeshifters

Glinting softly as they soar across the night sky, moon dragons are both guardians and wonderers of lunar mysteries. Majestic, curious, and cheerful, these masters of pale skylight retain both their humor and their deep wonder for the oldest secrets of the world throughout their lives, from clumsy hatchlings to exalted wyrms.

Moon dragon will often laugh at would-be aggressors and answer threats with sharp humor, making them difficult to provoke. However, if angered, a moon dragon will fight with ferocity and unleash deadly blasts of focused moonlight upon its enemies.

Revealers of Truths. Their deep connection to lunar magic grants moon dragons the power to uncover what is hidden and reveal the true nature of shapechangers. Many therianthropes, including powerful werewolves, strongly dislike moon dragons and consider them natural enemies, but that enmity is not mutual as moon dragons are often indifferent to and sometimes amused with creatures that change their shape under the light of the moon.

Midnight Dreams. Whenever midnight finds them sleeping under the full moon, moon dragons have vivid, and some say prophetic, dreams. Many moon dragons dismiss these dreams as mere fantasies, but others act on them, undertaking quests to discover whether a dream was a glimpse of the future or an insight into some deeper mystery.

Lunar Humor. Most moon dragons have a notable sense of humor that is tied to the moon and its phases. When the moon is full, their jokes are boastful and direct, but as the moon wanes, their humor becomes progressively more cryptic, eventually morphing into humorous riddles when the moon is new again.

Moon dragon wyrmlings may make funny faces and joke about bodily functions, youngsters may play practical jokes on each other, adults may craft elaborate comedic stories with underlying educational messages, and ancient wyrms may sometimes indulge in legendary puns, triggering laughter, cringing, and sometimes both.
