You need strong enough GPU to pull that 1080p 120 FPS on Ultra while TB will loose some performance due to TB overhead and PCIe bandwidth limitations (and wherever you use laptop screen or external one connected to the eGPU).

Yes, I would like ultra 120fps, but with high settings and 60 fps it's enough
