This is a very low chance, right? It only works 100% if you play as LIT

I always laugh when Poland rejects the union. There are like 0 benefits for that route besides having your own dynasty. Maybe Poland has missions into HRE? But they are too big to join. Idk if they got any quests; I usually wait for the league to join.

I once saw a youtube video with a streamer making a calculation with gameplay showing that the beast king's monarch power if you reject the union is actually very worth it. He played both choices to compare the two. In the union rejection he absorbed Lithuania and ended up being bigger, stronger, and just further ahead with everything. Now i'm not saying it's better to take the king and reject the union because i don't actually know, but it just showed me that the choice may not be so clear.

Addition: newer players should absolutely take the union, but good veteran players will be able to easily absorb Lithuania quickly and cheap given all the releasables and benefit much more from the monarch power.

The benefit is not having the elective monarchy because it can be annoying to get rid of when you want absolutism (it gives -30 max absolutism)

You avoid becoming locked to elective monarchy allowing you to stack absolutism later and get an incredibly good ruler right off the bat. It's not too difficult to conquer Lithuania anyways

The local noble is better if you know what you’re doing. It gives you different missions that lets you into the hre and gives you a bunch of different pus, and you can just conquest Lithuania pretty easily

They get different missions that's start with an event joining the hre and they avoid the fuckass reforms and disasters

R5: I guess that Lithuania got fed up being PUd by Poland in every game and decided to PU them instead, year is 1470

That's actually historically accurate. It was Lithuania which PUd Poland, not the other way around

Poland just happened to be so much cooler that the kind would rather be a Polish king ruling over Lithuania than a Lithuanian king ruling over Poland.

Well, the ruling dynasty came from Lithuania, but at the same time, before Władysław II Jagiełło ever sat on the Polish throne, Lithuanians had to sign a document which stated that Lithuania will be one day integrated into Poland

I did a video last week for Teutonic pu Lithuania:), for achieving early mongol empire before 1600. Just pick jagallion heir, then convert to Polish culture, use Polish Nobel rebel to convert to monarch.
