Busy Bee.. I love you but.. y’all…

A little over a year ago, my best friend and I founded a non-profit housing agency to serve Lane County - Cascades Community Placement Services

CCPS started as a tiny offshoot of an activist group, but we are now an IRS-official 501c3. We connect vulnerable folks in need with a vetted community housing network, provide relocation aid, and flexibly assist individuals to maximize the resources available to them. Our mission is to aid and support under-resourced folks who come to Eugene to find stability, safety, and acceptance.

Every week, we are saving lives in Eugene and Lane County. We provide essential boots on the ground casework and aid that our government cannot or will not provide.

In the world that we are trying to create, CCPS would not need to exist. But so long as the horrors persist, so will we.

We can't do this alone. CCPS has always been (and always will be) a grassroots, community-supported harm-reduction project for our most vulnerable neighbors in Lane County.

All hands on deck, to help some space cadet in need.

Someone left their car in the QuikTrip parking lot, next to Sundance, since Sunday night. Presuming someone was spacing, walked home forgetting their car (I have done this), and currently thinks their car has been stolen.

If this is your stoner friend's car (mirror lainyard says class of 2020), please let them know to pick it up from the parking lot on the corner of 24th and Hilyard pronto before it gets towed.

This happened at the Albertsons on Coburg Road in Eugene, Oregon, on August 31st around 7:00 p.m. This homeless guy who stole my grandpa’s bike walked up to him while he was at his bike before he was going to head in to buy groceries, and he asked if he could use my grandpas id to go buy drugs at the pharmacy (just a completely fried individual to think of even doing that thinking it would work), but anyway, my grandpa said no to him, and when my grandpa walked back out to his bike, the guy rode off on it and yelled “that’s karma.”

Anyway, I thought this might worth posting here, or you might have seen this bike. I thought I should post it somewhere.

LTD Bus driver - river road to downtown. There’s this older white dude with long hair and a super crappy beard to go with it. Thus jerk will watch people get on the bus, and the SLAM the gas pedal, throwing us around as passengers.

On 9/6 at 10am I am moving a heavy item into a trailer. I have all of the equipment needed. Maybe an hour of work. $50 each. DM for details.

With a bunch of rain expected this week, what are you gardeners doing with your tomatoes which haven't ripened yet? I'm imagining all this moisture will be a recipe for splitting and mold issues. Time to pick everything turning color and bring it in? Pull up the whole plants and hang them inside? Throw a tarp over the top? Throw up your hands in despair? Teach me please!

I just got into this game. My wife and I have been playing for about a week. So we’re complete noobs.

I need a mobile RV repair person who can work on multiple aspects as I need plumbing and propane work done on my camper trailer. Does anyone have any good recommendations?

I was there last week and a woman stopped me in her car and said she was going through a domestic abuse situation and needed gas money to get to Portland because he stole her purse etc. I am a recovering addict of over a year and a half and I’ve been in situations similar. I’m an extreme empath and I feel for people in situations I can relate to. Come today I’m walking out and she pulled the same exact card on me like she had no remembrance of me giving her 20 dollars last week when I have almost no money right now anyways. It just made my stomach sink and made me feel sick that people do this. I’m not unaware that people suck but when trying to help other people and giving the last of what I have to help it really does make an impact and makes me personally feel less like I can give people opportunities which is unfortunate. Don’t be like this woman and also I guess just don’t believe her if you run into her.

Public meeting at Eugene City Hall on September 14th @ 7:30 PM! Please show up and spread the word! Went door to door on Saturday in the Willow Creek neighborhood and most of the folks I talked to had NO IDEA THIS WAS PROPOSED IN THEIR NEIGHBORHOOD! See you there!!

Also alleged it's extra bad because the forest service is actively utilizing burnouts (starting fires to cut fuel so the main burns out before it gets there)

Oregon State Police said the infant was abducted following a domestic violence incident, and the suspect, James Patterson, was known to be armed. Patterson has been taken into custody."

Just as the title says, I’m looking for small, like one store, women owned businesses in town, and am especially looking for a woman owned dispensary that’s still in the earlier stages of growing their company.
Women of color businesses are a bonus too! Or veterans!
