How to make challenge runs less annoying?

I've been FFT 5 times now (blind, completionist, no grind, mage only/no math/no special, one Beastmaster+4 monsters.) Most of these runs were easy enough logistically, although the monster run was annoying because I had to grind out Orator before the Dorter battle.

The last run I wanted to do was 2 normal characters + 3 Mimes. After reviewing the prerequisites for Mime, I'm intimidated by the prospect of doing so much grinding. For the Beastmaster run I let myself over-level because I correctly guessed being over-leveled would be necessary for the main story. Here, grinding out Mime in early game would be game-breaking, and leveling down or using spillover JP adds more work and overhead to an already awful process.

Any suggestions on what to do that doesn't involve extreme tedium?

Dealing with Delita

Re-playing IC on tactitian it feels like Delita's AI has been further dumbed down. In PSX and WOTL I always changed his class to build around story battles. Unable to do that in IC, he has become the most challenging part of Ch. 1.

It is like he is *trying* to kill himself. Of course I could let him get knocked out everytime and power through, but I like to RP as much as I can and I wanted him leveled for revenge at the end of Ch. 1. So far, my strat has been to toggle his movement range by adding / removing Movement +1 and Battle Boots.

I'm not sure if Stone is helpful or another pitfall that leads to poor positioning.

How do you deal with Delita?

Other Hear me out, Auracite = Behelit

Im truly sorry for the AI slop. Im only trying to make a point of comparison between the two

The auracite amplifies man's deepest strongest desires, which is the same thing for a behelit at the cost of one's soul. Auracite in some instances, have been used for good (Rapha and Marach), but there is no known instance for good in terms of the behelit from Berserk

Whatchu think?
