In the final quarter of group lessons (circuit training) at my gym, the trainer made 3 groups to play a gym-football version, and in each group there were 5-6 people. In each group, 2-3 people had to compete at a time on all 4s (but a tabletop, and not plank) and use our feet to push a 4 kg ball to "goals". The rule was don't set your bum on the ground, stay in the air on all 4s and move on your palms and feet. The remaining people would watch and cheer on. Trainer would take turns cheering on a group.
I went first, played for a couple of minutes, got defeated by the other two players and hella tired too. Next went another woman (let's call her Bummy), with another 2 players (while the rest of us stay watching casually). Bummy was on all 4s+1 as she retained her bum on the ground the entire time, more like sitting and dragging herself, making it much easier to move and not getting tired since the core is relaxed. Bummy won against the other player. The trainer was only saying encouraging words and not "you're disqualified" to all players. I thought we all understood it's for fun and to push your own limits, not to be played like the damn Olympics.
When it was my turn to go again with another woman, for a moment my bum fell on the ground, and I lifted up immediately and continued on all 4s. This Bummy started yelling at me, "you're disqualified, your bum touched the ground". I ignored it the first time, and then she repeated it by coming right in front of my body. So I said with a fake smile while still playing on all 4s, "Your bum didn't even leave the ground, so I'm ok with how much I could do." And then I got up so that someone else could take my place. She followed me and said, "yes but I made a mistake because I didn't know, you are continuing even after I'm telling you". I knew I'd likely say something I regret so I turned around and walked away to my water bottle.
A minute later she's waving at me getting my attention and saying "hey you go again," I shook my head to say no, she is relentless, asks me, "what's your name?" I say my name and she repeats, herself, "shubidoobi you go next." I said no thanks, and cheered on the other players while dead hanging from the pull up bar.
Who made her class monitor? Weird interaction.
