The first image is of the ISS going across the moon. There are apps that will tell you when you can see such an event near you. The originator of the image provided various data about the image.
I made measurements using a CAD system to confirm some of that data.

The second image is just a screen shot of a search for "ISS transit".
There are dozens if not hundreds of such images out there, some NASA, some professional, some talented amateurs.

At ~100 meters in length and with an orbit of 400 km the International Space Station is the largest satellite in low Earth orbit.

At its closest, when directly overhead, the angular diameter is

arc-tan(100/400,000) = 0.0143 degrees
= 0.86 arc-minutes.

Without binoculars or a telescope the ISS is only visible as a dot of reflected light.

There are around 10,000 satellites, but more are being launched, so let's double that to 20,000 satellites.

The vast majority of them are in low Earth orbit (LEO), between ~200km and ~2000km from the Earth's surface, or ~6600km and ~8400km from the center of the Earth.
Let's place all the satellites on a sphere 320 km above the Earth.
The surface area of a sphere with a 6700 km radius is
4 pi 6700^2 = 564 x 10^6 square km

That would give 28,200 square km per satellite.

But as stated, satellites are not in a single shell, but are spread out at various altitudes.

If the Earth is flat, then how do ships disappear hull-first over the horizon? If the Earth is flat, then the ship should appear progressively smaller until it is no longer visible (distant things appear smaller). u/ChristJesusisReal, you are the most confident flerf I've seen in this sub. Alfred Russel Wallace, the co-discoverer of natural selection, once had a wager with a flat earther named John Hampden. Hampden had advertised that anyone who could prove the earth was round would get £500 from him; if they failed to prove it, they would owe Hampden £500.

After accepting the wager, Wallace set up an experiment along the Bedford Canal in England. The canal was remarkably straight and flat, with two bridges six miles apart on the canal. On one bridge, he set up a telescope, and on the other bridge he set up a white flag with a black stripe through the middle. In between the two he erected a pole with a red marker on it. The telescope, marker, and flag were all exactly the same height above the water. If the Earth was flat, then the marker should cover the black line on the white flag when looked at directly through the telescope. If the Earth was round, the red marker should appear above the white flag due to the curvature of the Earth.

When everything was set up, Wallace and everyone else who was with (besides Hampden) looked through the telescope and saw that the marker was above the flag. But Hampden's friend looked through the telescope and claimed that this actually proved that the Earth was flat. Even though they had agreed to the terms of the experiment before it started, Hampden decided to agree with his friend and refused to believe that Wallace had bested him.

The final judge of the experiment ended up awarding Hampden's £500 to Wallace, which enraged Hampden. For years after this, Hampden would continually publish about how Wallace had lied and tricked him; he wrote to all of Wallace's friends, professional associations, colleagues, and even people only indirectly related to him, all to try to ruin Wallace's reputation and career. This resulted in several lawsuits between Wallace and Hampden, but Hampden just never stopped.

This video is so powerful because it debunks so many flat earth claims in a single video and anybody can duplicate these results themselves. Flat earthers claim that the sun just gets too far away to see because of “perspective” or “vanishing point” and yet by increasing altitude the sun becomes visible again. It also shows that the horizon drops as altitude increases debunking another flat earther claim. Go try it yourself if you don’t agree.

Aren’t sunsets the simplest rebuttal to the flat earth theory? If the earth was flat, the sun would never set and disappear beyond the horizon, it would only recede into the distance to create a smaller sphere and there would never be true darkness. What is the counter argument to something which everyone experiences on a clear day?
