we've been running weekly photo challenges for a while. this autumn they join up into a season.

six rounds, sep 2 to nov 17. you enter a shot, you vote on the others, you place. every round adds to a points table and the table picks the champion at the end. nothing about the challenges themselves changes.

round one is THE DETAIL. get close. a wheel arch, a badge, water on a mirror, one headlight in the dark. no whole cars. entries close sep 8, voting runs sep 9 to 15.

the rest of the calendar: monochrome (sep 16), panning (sep 30), autumn (oct 14), ghost story (oct 28), the final (nov 11).

points: 5 for entering, 3 for voting, 25 / 18 / 12 for the podium, 5 for a curator pick. so you don't need to win a round to be in it. showing up every round counts.

your own fh6 photo mode shots only, no AI, edits declared. one entry per round.

the champion gets a custom livery built for them, their winning shot printed, framed and mailed, the GENZO magazine cover, and a permanent badge.

Anyone else here run convoys?

Still working out what makes a good one and I'd rather ask than guess.

It is A class rwd n I love it

bok so ive been on pad forever, mostly horizon but i mess with motorsport too. quick flicks and direction changes are fine, i can feel those out. its the slow precise stuff that kills me. any long corner and im either running wide cause i didnt turn enough or i catch it too hard and the back steps out. every single lap is a little different lol

stuff ive already tried:

sens down around 40-50, fixes the twitch but now transitions feel like im dragging the stick through mud

deadzone basically at zero

linearity more linear, felt a bit better, still not it

just gitting gud (not going great)

me and a buddy have also been dorking around with a little thing that clips on the stick to give it a proper spring back to center and a bit more room for tiny inputs. super janky prototype but honestly my racing has been way more consistent with it. not selling anything just a garage project

anyway mostly i wanna know what you all do. is this just how pad is and you deal with it, or is there some settings combo or trick im missing after all these years

Went back to playing Forza Motorsport 7 and had some fun around the Suzuka Circuit in the 2017 Renault RS17 F1 Car, driven by Nico Hülkenberg (#27).

I do miss modern Formula One cars in Forza.

Drivatars actually drive well on this one, i drew a draft, put all the props in, then redrew the track with the props in place.

At A700 and above the jumps become really hard to hit clean. They're supposed to be taken at around 100kmh / 60mph. Anything higher requires drifting and cornering just before the ramp so you land in the direction of the corner.

This is one of my first and probably my best screenshot from Forza Horizon 6. It’s two months old, (not that that matters), and I didn’t use any photo edit options from photo mode, (I am terrible using those). Anyways, enjoy!

so for context i use aurora wich is a xbox 360 mod. to ge the game i used iso2god format. thing is that i actually got pictures from xbox 360 to my laptop but i cant view them. i used horizon (app) and after extracting those pictures to my folders at first they werent openable, then i renamed them .jpg and tried .png too but it said that windows doesnt support this format. had a long talk with claude and in the end i settled to ask online between people who still do this. please help me, i have really cool and valuable pictures there, thanks in advance
