Because the people complaining are the people actually paying and playing the game.

Genshin complainers are well, I doubt most of them have the client either way.

genshin complainers are mostly western side and a loud minority at the end of the day, asia side only rile up on instance like neuvi bug fix.

Well in LaDS breakdown, CN is the only positive region, every other region depressed after the controversy and hasn't recovered. The significant non-CN/HK regions are Global >> JP, and global took a massive nose dive and never recovered, same with JP. They usually represent about 30% of LaDS income, now they're about half, closer to 15%. Global is also actively still dropping, so they will probably not return to their old form as long as these regions continue boycott.
