People said the same thing in the Zhuang Fangyi patch, the reality is it's not a hyped character that is going to bring people back to playing the game. Everyone knows it.

Why would anyone come back? What is there to even play? Who is this game actually for?

The story is bad for people who care about story.

The combat is bad for people who care about combat.

The gacha is bad for people who enjoy gacha.

The factory is bad for people who enjoy simulation.

The goon is bad for people who goon.

So what’s left?

The only remotely good thing about this game is the extremely subjective metric of optimization and "muh aesthetics". And apparently, that’s supposed to carry the entire game.

Take away the pretty graphics and the optimization circlejerk, and there’s basically nothing here for anyone to actually play.

There was a post on the endfield subreddit going into meticulous detail about how the endfield gacha system was actually more generous than Hoyo/Kuro gachas are.

Bro wrote an entire PhD thesis on this. And the general consensus from the community?

"Yeah, it still feels bad"

And thats all there is to it. The off-banner rate can be 3%, 6%, 10%, w/e. If you're still making people pull 80-120 times for the rate up character, it just feels bad, period. It doesnt matter how many copies of Last Rite I get, I still have to spend a months worth of savings for a single copy of a rate up. Y'know, the character I ACTUALLY want?

Endfield's gacha just sucks. There is no way around it. It really sucks and nobody likes it.
