Bought the Zephyrus Duo 5070ti version this past weekend. Did not go for the 5090 version as I am not Jeff Bezos.

Loving every moment with this setup ao far. The 2 (beautiful OLED) screens is so important forme to multitask.

Predator Helios Neo 16S AI with the 5070ti. Didn’t know what to expect, was a sale item at Best Buy and got it for $1,899. I had been planning to buy a OneXPlayer3 handheld to upgrade from the Xbox Ally X, my only pc gaming device (I have a 3070 desktop from 2021 that my fiancé uses, but I don’t). Bought this instead and will sell the Ally if I like it.

Stunned by the difference. With DLSS 4.5 and frame gen I’m running Crimson Desert on Ultra with 200+ FPS with GPU and CPU sitting at roughly 75 Celsius. I think that’s good? Not very knowledgeable, but I know this thing looks amazing and seems to be performing well so far.

I was concerned about fan noise as I like to play in bed at night when she’s asleep, sitting on a Targus Chillmat (for now), and it’s running like this in balanced mode. I’m not sure I need performance or turbo mode at night to be happy. During the day I can push it possibly (and maybe a llama v12 under it on the table), but this is fine for me now.

Got this at the NEX for around $1900 after discounts, it’s my first gaming laptop. Will it last a long time with these specs? I want to move away from console gaming and subscriptions.

Hi im from Nepal and this is the screenshot from Nepali authorized store.The price according to the spec is so bad.The price is $1,414.49 for an outdated graphics card paired with Ryzen 7. What's your thoughts is it normal or is it just inflammation?(sorry for bad English)

Pulled the trigger on a Ryzen 9 9955HX3D + RTX 5080 + 64GB RAM + 2TB SSD. I was on the look out to be back on stock but an open box was available around midnight so I reserved and picked it up the next day. It’s still way above my budget but I hope this lasts at least 5 years. It was in excellent condition during in-store inspection and I have 15 days to try & test. Hopefully all works well.

Hello! I’m in need of a gaming laptop and want to know if this one I found is worth its cost. My max budget is $1500, and this one is selling at $1159 currently.

I need something that can run high-end games like Cyberpunk well, is easily portable since I’ll be using it for college, and will last many years (5+ hopefully more).

Since you guys are the experts here, is it worth the cost? If not, do you have any recommendations for better laptops below 1500? I’ve been told by many of my close friends that this one is well worth its price, but I just want to be sure before I drop so much on it.

Bought this Legion Slim 7 for $850 and just found out that the ~, 1, Tab, Esc, and Q keys don’t work. 😅 Other than that, everything else seems pretty solid so far.
Now I’m questioning whether this was actually a fair, decent, or bad deal, especially considering I mainly game on my PS5. I bought this laptop mostly for portability, games that aren’t available on PlayStation, and potentially some streaming.
I’m mainly looking to play games like Warzone, Redsec, GTA V, etc.

What do you guys think, was $850 a good deal for this Legion Slim 7 considering the keyboard issue?

Also, any recommendations for setting it up properly for gaming? What software should I download to monitor things like FPS, temperatures, GPU/CPU usage, etc.? Any tips for getting the best gaming performance would be appreciated!

How much the upgrade should cost to be worth it?
And is i7 14700HX enough for modern games?

I'm looking for a gaming laptop (I know its better to build a desktop for my price range but I have nowhere in my small apartment for a dedicated setup), for MAX $2500 canadian. I was hoping to spend closer to $2000, but almost anything decent is at least $2500... i know everything is super inflated right now and I'm having trouble understanding what prices are good for what computers and whether the high prices are because its a good computer or just because of the high RAM/memory prices.

I've been reading reviews and see mostly praise for this one, but wanted to ask for opionions from people here. I have a current Dell G3 series gaming laptop that's 5-6 years old. It's been mostly okay but overheating is a major issue that I am hoping to avoid in future gaming laptop. Is the cooling better in this 16X series? I've never had an alienware before but obviously they're the Dell gaming line so I assume they're the best, relatively speaking?

I plan on playing games like Palworld, World of Warcraft, the Horizon series, the new Fable when it comes out, etc. hopefully on the highest settings.

Plz help. My options are more limited than I expected for my price range, and I just want to get the best thing I can for the price range. Gaming is one of the few hobbies i can do these days and I just want something nice :)

Hi everyone. I currently own a Nitro 5 rtx 3070ti i7 12650h with 32gb ram on it. I know its a beast of its power and provide good fps if running cool. But as everyone know these shitboxes comes with the worst possible cooling. I have been struggling with game for a while and have been thinking of using Liquid metal thermal paste. Upon research I gave found out that it can destroy my motherboard. But the normal thermal paste doesn't seem to be effective at all. Please help me out what should I do in this situation? Roughly 2 years ago, I purchased a Raider 18 HX using a small bonus I got from work after doing some research and deciding that I wanted to have a laptop that I could use for gaming and work longterm.

I was not aware at the time of the voltage issue affecting Intel CPUs of that generation. Now, 2 years later, I am suffering all of the effects of the voltage issues and they are getting progressively worse - the laptop seems to be slowly dying.

I have tried everything from a simple factory restore to reapplying thermal paste and undervolting. The problems persist and I can no longer consistently game on it. Some games crash within seconds of opening, along with many programs on the computer as well

The problem is that Intel has explicitly said that the voltage issues did not apply to the laptop variants. MSI is running with this and have only offered to help for thousands of dollars. I am not rich, and am basically wondering if I have a glorified paper weight at this point?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

G'day I'm looking for a wireless keyboard that had a trackpad down the bottom like a standard built in laptop keyboard.

I've got one hand and the only way I can game is on a trackpad ,and while it works it means that when I want to sit in bed or hook my laptop up to a screen and lie in bed it's a bit difficult.

Any suggestions or recommendations?

I can get a laptop (asus tuf a18 with the ryzen 260) for 1350e with a 5060, i can also get the same one for 200e more with a 5070. So im wondering if its worth the money if itd out of my budget a bit. Thanks

Budget: about 1000 EUR ( 1200 USD / 950 CHF ), might stretch a bit for really high-quality units (metal chassis etc.);

Country: Looking to purchase worldwide, I'm located in Italy/Switzerland;

Use Case: mainly general use, intensive chrome-tabs user, occasional 3D CAD modeling, thermofluid dynamics simulations and driving simulators. It's always used plugged into power and i don't usually walk marathons with it in my huge backpack;

Preferred Specs: MUST have at least 8GB of vRAM. 12GB is preferable. In order to stay within budget, the best would be a 30 series GPU with high capacity (as opposed to a more expensive 50 series with lower capacity). As for CPU, 8 cores are enough. RAM and SSD are no requirements as I can purchase them myself (and I already have a 2.5 and an NVMe SSD), but I am aiming for at least 16GB of RAM single stick (in order to upgrade to 32 in the future).

Notes: I will report below a form from another sub, which is more detailed:

• Open to used, refurbished and new options;

• Screen: any from 14" (included) upwards;

• Weight: i do not care for weight, thickness or battery capacity at all;

• Form factor: standard laptop i guess (i don't think they make anything other than that with a decent vRAM capacity);

• Desired battery life: no.

• Please list, in order of most important to least important, the priority between Size, Weight, Performance, Battery life: my dream laptop is a 50cm thick, 25kg slab of stainless steel in which the only battery is the BIOS one, with the hinges made of aerospace-grade titanium bolted to threads cut directly into the metal chassis with 12.9 grade impact-rated bolts, and a liquid cooling system. I would gladly take a desktop PC with me if only they'd make them with integrated screen and keyboard. 'Nuff said i think.
