you can see where his face goes from Yes, still would, still would to NO NO NO very clearly.

I mean, you aren't wrong, but you didn't need to say it either.

Hey, we’re all thinking it…

I mean this is a level of nudity rarely seen on tv those days

And then she immediately threw him on the bed

Man that show really under utilized the actor

David Xanatos may have a furry fetish, but even he has standards 😂

We stopped seeing this level of detail for an animated TV show a long time ago

Even at the time the animation of her changing was very well done. Seemed like many cartoons seemed to have trouble animating a character changing from a human to a monster.

I feel like this was based on one of the old werewolf movies Universal made. It's really well done.

Taking time to see Xanatos's reaction really sells this scene.

This whole episode is great for being one of the few times he's genuinely caught off guard.

"So now you know my one true weakness"

"Only you would regard love as a weakness."

Yes put perfectly.

Also I love the little sprinkling of seeing Xanatos turn to the good side steadily laid out throughout the show, the breadcrumbs. Love it.

Damn, the Eye of Odin was such a chaotic artifact. Werewolf? Sure. Super-Wizard? Yeah go for it. Domestic abuser? Why not, it’s Tuesday.

It seems to be the same principle at its heart: it gives power and amplifies a core aspect of your identity. But if you lack the strengths or knowledge to put guardrails up, in manifests in the worst possibly way.

Janine was a clever thieving rascal that associated herself with a fox, so she became a feral werefox. Wizards are often wizards, and tend to know what they're facing with such relics. Goliath was an uneasy protector, so became obsessed with isolating everyone from threats and controlling the situation.

Well, part of it is that she's half fae.

Fine I'll rewatch Gargoyles.

And to top it all off, the de-transformation sequence was amazing, especially the way they did the audio.

u/Etcom 14h ago

I love the way they did the audio for her roars/screams. Just completely overwhelming the "mic", fitting right in with her body not being able to handle the transformation. Overworked and strained past the breaking point.

Imagine what the Eye could to turn her into after she unlocked her fairy magic

I like that this series established VERY quickly that anything could happen in that universe.

The transformation was sick and a little scary too.

The details in the transformation were something else.

One of the best episodes

The eye of Odin was never ment to be used by mortals.

u/Huggable_Hork-Bajir 4h ago

Tbf she's only half mortal.

That was one of my favorite episodes

u/Foxxtronix 15h ago

...and the furries rejoiced. I know because I was among them.

u/Fun_Transformations2 18h ago

This show triggered a transformation fantasy for me. I just wish someone would want to chat about it with me.

u/saegiru 12h ago

You know, it appears that if Fox got tattoos all over her body, when she transformed, she'd have no fur since evidently the magic can't penetrate tattoo ink.

u/DingoSubject1130 16h ago

Would your oc turn into a werewolf like that?

u/Apprehensive-Sir8977 Hudson 15h ago edited 14h ago

Not mine. But now I'm kind of wondering what would happen to him.
