I still haven’t gotten used to identifying them that well, especially considering that the Gear who was executed in the trailer was given such a significant amount of focus. It almost feels like he might have already been introduced in the story, even if only as a background character.

Do you guys think it could be Mako and his brother? Or, at the very least, a squad that gets introduced alongside Bravo and then gets taken by the Locust? There’s also the possibility that they’re just unknown Gears, but if it’s the first one… that’s pretty disturbing.

Back in June I pre ordered the e day collector's edition from xbox game studios website for the xbox version. I was supposed to receive early access to the beta on the respective days but they never emailed my code.

Too late now of course, and I emailed them in the interim a few times about it but they never replied. Scared now that they won't deliver my early game access nor my actual full purchase of the collector's edition. Even if I contact them they don't respond.

Has anyone had this issue?

I still want the order so i don't want to ask for a refund.

I played the living life outta the E-Day beta and now It's difficult to play Gears 2 & 3 with the Default control scheme. God I wish i could use Modern Alt scheme on the classic Gears games... maybe in the Fenix Collection.😭

TLDR: Getting back into Gears after a very long break and not sure whether Reloaded or Gears 5 is the better choice to get this rusty soldier back in shape for E-Day.

I've just bought a Series X after not doing any serious gaming for a few years. Planning to get on E-Day which will be my first Gears game since number two! I moved to PlayStation back in the day after getting the RROD and being pissed with how MS handled it - sent me a replacement that had the disc drive error and then were like "uh, sorry your warranty's just expired so we can't swap it". I was fuming as I was still in warranty when they sent me the duff replacement so I moved to PS3 and then PS4. But the 360 was always my favourite and there's nothing quite like the Gears series. I've had the itch for a good few years now.

Anyway, I'm wondering which will be the best game to sharpen up my skills? I didn't play the beta but I've read it returns to the heavier feel of the earlier games, which makes me wonder if Reloaded is the better choice. I was never much into all the wall bouncing which I know is now a core mechanic for high level play. I had three mates I used to play with and we'd lock it down with the lancers. Used to do pretty well hanging back and covering my teammates. Popping out of cover and downing somebody with the pistol or lancer while they were gnasher battling my teammates.

I've got Reloaded but I've not yet played it - was gonna jump back in with one of my oldschool gaming buddies but he died of a sudden heart attack before we ever got a chance. 😔 Also got Gears 5 on GP.

What say you guys? Which one is the best choice to lubricate the rusty cogs and get the gears moving again?

The original idea was to not only have the painting as Key art, but also make it a menu screen within the game.

Maybe I missed it but have we heard any updates or feedback from the devs regarding the past two betas? say what you want about COD but damn the community was getting real time updates and feedback as the beta went on. E day beta had many issues and I'm starting to get gears reloaded vibes where they released the game and never heard from them again.
