Finally got all of them! Easily one of the most challenging collections to complete. Only so many survived a promo meant to be thrown away or mailed in. Lady Jaye, Snake Eyes, Crimson Guard and Bivouac were the hardest hunt.

I’m typing this as I’m knocking out the best fajitas I’ve had in a minute but I’ve always had this question: in the GI-Joe series Roadblock is the unofficial (official? I know it’s his secondary rating) cook for the Joe team. My question is have there been any other team chefs? I know it’s not a glamorous gig on a team full of ninjas and pilots but an army fights on its stomach. Also if you had to name an original cook character what would you call him or her? I’d have an edged weapons expert named “Cutlery” but with the ninjas that might be redundant. Thanks for reading.

Kitted out with all kinds of fodder bin weapons and accessories, mostly Valaverse, along with some Classified and Marvel Legends gear.

So the pants and body appear to be the Storm Shadow from the 12 inch Hall of Fame(?) line from 1992ish but the head on that figure was a sculpted ninja mask and this guy’s foundation does not match the rest of his skin tone (guuuuuuurl neck snap) and my girlfriend doesn’t know where she got it. I honestly don’t even think it’s a GI Joe head.

Because man, I sure did and I still notice things like that today though I haven't touched a GIJOE since I was a kid. When I go walk at a local state park I sometimes come across settings/areas that can only be described as the perfect setting to play with GI JOEs.

One example. Walking on a trail, Huge tall pine trees are scattered throughout, tons of old brown pine needles on the ground. There are big groups of these huge grass clumps, just massive, like waist height. Then there are different places that go from trees > bushes > dirt > grass > bushes > trees. The terrain is just perfect with all these different shades of color and obstacles.

Every single time I walk through there I think there has to be other people out in the world that sees the same things as me. As a kid I was always on the lookout for places to play in.

Do you still see places that would be perfect for a play session?

This is a Lanard body with a spare AV head and with some black paint on the hands and boots, it would make a suitable spare.

Temu Viper? Ersatz Viper? Back Alley Viper?

So a memory just popped up because of a post over in r/Transformers. Like the title says I recieved a "bulk" (I guess) set of all the original joes that did not come with a vehicle or by mail in. One box... I remember the box was normal tan brown cardboard with maybe that old red and blue print for the G.I.Joe logos... The Joe's inside were not individually carded, but were all on one big blister pack card inside. The cardboard behind the figures was that "inside" cardbord vehicle box grey, but the back was all the glossy bio cards to cut out. I still have the Snake-Eyes bio card, so I know it has nothing on the normal blister side but the flat gey board. The problem is I can find literally nothing about this "complete" set now and I feel like I am either insane or I am somehow in the wrong timeline lol... It's the one Christmas I have no old family photos of for some reason and I would just like to see a picture of this. It was either some retailer exclusive (Service Merchandise?), some Military exclusive release for base stores, from somewhere other than the US (Everything was English on the packaging but my Dad was in the Army Reserves and had his two weeks abroad every year back then), or some mail order version from somewhere. Anybody else remember this or ever heard of it? Or know of a site that might? Thanks in advance.

Ok, I'm going to have to have casual Recondo and Roadblock from the episode 'Red Rocket's Glare'. I've pretty much got Recondo. I'd just have to figure out a collared shirt for Roadblock.

Not sure if anyone can confirm whether or not it is legit, but this came up for auction on eBay yesterday. None of these figures were ever officially released in stores, but apparently some carded prototypes have been unearthed and appear similar to this. Just posting for anyone else interested.
