I need more practice painting snakes but I still had fun doing this one, inspired by the beautiful garters in my strawberry patch 🍓

His name is BepBep, he carries many things.

From idea to finished project took about four days

We have well water, and every 4 months or so I go down after dark to do maintenance such as topping off the pressure tank pre-charge. The well itself is sealed against critters, but we have a concrete box underground where the pump and other hardware is housed to prevent it from freezing in the winter. And we occasionally find visitors when I lift the lid; copperheads, turtles and the other night, this adorable little feller.

Here is a pumpkin goblin I made.

Crabs, hermit crabs, sea anemones, periwinkles, and thistle!

Caterpillars, crawdads, salamanders, spiders, millipedes, mushrooms, caves. What’s not to like?

As the summer hangs heavy, teetering, and the first autumn winds wind the withy leaves, here are some photos from my last few weeks. Hoping all you Fair Folk have courage, and good fires in your homes and in your hearts.

I wanted to draw some of the creatures i saw this summer and made it into this pennant/garland/i dont know what they are called and wanted to share :3

I sewed up this feisty little critter with a penchant for carnival-colored mischief! She is currently in transit to a friend of mine to cheer her up!

She is made of minky, fleece, beanie pellets, and stuffing. I added a little jingle bell to her tail too. :3

I practice historical fencing, and part of our training is done in sports helmets like this one. My friend decorated it for me at my request. She painted tiny horns made of my favorite rowan branches.
