This mohawk-ish thing is...not me. I can't push it to the side because someone said I look like a nerdy teen boy. But pushing it forward is just bad too. It's too short to get trimmed to a different shape but this just makes my face look....exposed.

Man, it would have been longer if I wasn't trimming it a bit too often. 🥲

Hello! I’m thinking of getting part of my hair dyed for the first time. The first image is my inspiration picture, what I would theoretically want it to look like, except the black part would be my natural hair colour instead. The second image is the approximate colour of my natural hair. My three questions are:
a) Would I most likely need bleach in the dyed sections?
b) What should I expect to pay for the full dye job?
c) What’s the difference between semipermanent and permanent hair dye, and how long could I expect each to last?
Thanks in advance

i’m looking to get a shag haircut before school starts, but i’m not sure whether or not to make the jump. i have VERY thick waves. like, 2b-2c ultra-thick hair. first pic is inspo, second and third are my natural hair with a bit of curl gel.

So my hair has been long and straight/naturally slightly wavy for ages, and my little goth self needs a change.
My hair has been bleached and dyed a few times, if that matters, and I’ve been doing my own trims to give myself a kind of long wolfcut for a while, and Death from Sandman is an absolute favorite of mine, so I wanted her hair length and style for very goth reasons lol.
Could anyone help me by telling me if it’d be possible, if it’d look good on a real person, or if it’d be too tough to recreate ? Pretty please ? 🥲

I have been finding these super thick kinky hairs for a few years now and I’m so confused about why this happens. The second photo is my hair naturally, very straight, but every now and then I find the curly ones. They feel like Afro hair texture. If anyone knows what causes this or how to stop it I’d appreciate the advice 💕

After being conditioned into thinking curly hair was ugly/messy/the “before” in every coming-of-age movie all my life, I finally took the plunge to embrace my natural texture last year. I’m starting to love it more and more and I’ll probably never go back!

This is probably the wrong place to ask but to people with long hair with bangs that need to wear a hairnet and a hat, how do you do it? my hat was slipping down the entire time 🥲

I don’t really go out with my natural hair I blow dry it most of the time and when I don’t blow dry it I put it up in a hair clip or french braids
I think my natural hair is abit wavy with some curls but I don’t know what pattern it is and what I’m supposed to do so it looks more put together and feel less messy
I want to go out with my natural hair but when it looks like this it doesn’t look good and I’m not sure what I can do
In the photos it’s just styled with
a leave in conditioner, hair mousse, I diffused it and put a leave in serum for frizzy hair
Is it dry and frizzy? i really dont know and would like some help
I desperately need help. My hair is very damaged, the ends all have white tips and I can’t cut and further because the front half of my hair is already broken off so its right above collarbone length, the back is long but also damaged so it looks like i have a jellyfish haircut.
This happened because i have curly hair (3C) and i tried permanently straightening at a salon about 1.5 years ago but that messed up my hair A LOT, the treatment failed.
The very top of my hair is curly and the rest is straight, thats why after every wash day (1x per week, if I do any more my hair will fall out) I have to straighten my hair and I do so with heat protection and low heat. I can’t not straighten my hair because i have work and school and I don’t want to look insane.
My hair looks and feels hard and crunchy, i can barely brush it because it tangles and sticks together and then breaks off. I already use Elseve bond repair shampoo, conditioner and serum and I’ve only seen some results in terms of softness.
If I chop off the damaged hair I will basically have a pixie cut which I do not want. Can somebody please help?

What is my hair texture? The hair on the side of my head is clearly curlier. Is it a 3a, 3b or 3c?

Its the thing I hate most about having long hair and genuinely makes me want to go bald.
This post is being written with despair and anguish in my heart. For I just finished brushing my hair and it makes me hate my life more than anything
Am I being a drama queen and 100% overreacting? Yes.
But genuinely I need help. Im probably doing something wrong and Id love advice on how to make brushing my hair less evil.
Im gonna write my hair brushing routine so you can tell me Im stupid and doing everything wrong and how to fix it now.
I have long straight-wavy hair. 50+ cm. I only brush it straight after the shower. after I use shampoo and conditioner on it. I use some leave in conditioner before I start brushing. I try to start from my ends and work my way up. Then I brush it all back so its away from my face and I can do skincare.
Its such a tangled mess and takes 20 - 30 minutes to get it done. I have so much hair on my brush by the time Im finished and Im worried its more than there should be.
HELP
PLEASE

I’m looking for this specific one shown in these pictures. These are the best quality images I could get.

Hello, everyone! I apologise in advance for the length, but I feel a bit helpless.
Almost two months ago, I went to the salon to dye and bleach my virgin brown hair (picture 1) into a Neapolitan (blonde, brown, pink) style (picture 2). It was one round of bleach and then toner (I think?) Ever since that day, my journey has been rather confusing.
All of the color had washed out within two weeks - i was left with blonde hair only thirteen days after getting the colors done at the salon (picture 3). I wash bi-daily, my hair is genetically predisposed to get greasy fast. I used purple shampoos from the drug store, no masks or anything though.
Ever since then, my hair has been getting yellower and yellower and now it reached a stillstand and is stuck the same yellow (pictures 4-5, most recent). I use a purple shampoo 1-2 a week and otherwise am TERRIFIED of touching it. It’s yellow and a little dry now, although it had never been perfectly healthy.. i wouldn’t say that it’s frizzy or thinning or anything like that.
I badly want the blonde on picture 6 and it’s been making me very sad because I can’t help but feel ugly. I grew up around women that didn’t care to be very feminine and didn’t teach me about things like hair dye etc. and I have no female friends that I can ask. When I go outside, I see myriads of beautiful women with blonde hair and darker roots, so they clearly bleach or dye it and manage to make it look half decent.
I have so many questions:
Is it normal for my hair to lose color so quickly? Especially the brown and pink?
How often am I meant to go to the salon?
Do most blonde ladies go to the salon? Do they do it at home?
Am I meant to be getting toners? A second round of bleach?
I’m planning an appointment at the same salon in 3-4 weeks and I plan to use picture 6 as the references. I’m so scared that I’ll waste money and it’ll be all yellow again.. but I am also scared of mh hair falling out and still remaining yellow if I bleach again.
I’d love to hear some words of advice! Thanks in advance :))

If anyone has any of these shampoos I would love to buy them! I will pay for shipping, etc. whatever is needed! This is my favorite shampoo, even though it is discontinued. I am trying to find every last one ♡

Should I keep my hair reddish or go back to natural?? I don’t know if warmer or cooler tones work on me! Also if you think the brown looks better, could you help me with how I should go about that? Do I need to bleach or color remove? Thank you!!

I often go between having a short jaw length bob or just above and then a wolfcut/mullet style cut. Which do you think is more flattering/better on me? Thank you!

Should I go lighter or darker, bangs or no bangs, chop or stay long?
Trying to figure out what’s better for my skin tone and face shape. I typically don’t use heat on my hair and it hold color really well as I typically only get highlights every few years.

soo im going back today but like what do i say or what should i expect? we just bleached my virgin hair and i wanted a level 9-10 blonde. wanted to have baby pink some time in the next few months too, which to my understanding also needs a level 9-10. some of it lifted perfectly but the rest is level 8 brass. i have a vacation next week and i rly wanted picture perfect hair for it ☹️ is there anything that can be done? everything i read says you shouldnt bleach it twice in a row but it looks so uneven 😵💫

I have very thick hair. I used to get my hair bands from Claire’s as there was a lot in one packet, were a decent size and most importantly were stretchy (they also had a decent selection). Obviously now Claire’s is shut and so I can’t get them. Does anyone have an alternative recommendation??

Sorry kind of a bad pic, I'm in the darkness watching my baby at 4am. My hair is just past my shoulders. Why does it curl up like this? Is it from my hair resting on my shoulder while it dries? I used to keep my hair short and the ends would always flick outwards as well.

thinking about using a headband like this, instead of tucking my hair behind my ears when washing my face
i feel like i accidentally cause breakage by tucking them, so looking for any other alternative

they spread out when i brush them but join back into strings like this soon after brushing
