I was a Bunz user back before they went through major issues…just got this message and they’re making a comeback, or at least trying to. Used to be an amazing alternative to Facebook marketplace…I really hope they fixed the issues cause fb is literally the worst.
Here’s a message from the Bun team they sent out

Went to Richmond Yards for a walk today with my stroller and the whole area is a pedestrian accident waiting to happen.
I was walking past an empty site that was under construction and almost got t-boned with heavy hallow tubing by a construction worker (careless), then I was almost hit by a truck backing up that was parked on the sidewalk. Combined with the lack of stop signs, obstructed roadways due to garbage bins, parked vehicles - I don't know, it was really challenging and disheartening.
I get that the area is under construction but it is really something for seniors and those with strollers to watch out for. Or at the very least, go with extra caution, please!

Since my last post went so well I’d like to add some details. The artist lineup idea would obtain artists like 1oneam, Xaviersobased, jahsh, punk racks and more. We would like to ideally in the future grow and expand to bigger artists such as nettspend and osamason. Also for our first dip into Halifax’s underground we are gonna host a solo show with a headliner and a few local acts. If anyone is interested or knows any company’s to sponsor this event or get this on the road I have a sponsorship deck available along with all of our festival information. We ideally will obtain 500+ guest for our first show.
Any decent magicians who do kids parties for a reasonable price? They don't have be Houdini...

Anyone here live in the Lawrencetown Beach area and have repeated daily internet and cellular connection issues?
For the past 3 months randomly throughout the day my internet and cell reception just cuts out for 5 or so minutes and comes back. I called my internet and cell provider and they say they see nothing wrong on their end of things. Curious if anyone in the area is having similar problems.

It appears to be pretty quality too! I hope no one with a Randy’s hat tries to roll me for wearing the wrong colours in the neighborhood.

A survivor of homelessness in Halifax has asked Mayor Andy Fillmore five questions about housing as the municipality nears closer to the deadline to shut encampments down.
And Fillmore’s office actually responded.

You can see it clearly near the end of the video. It looks healed, and the deer looks fairly healthy. It was with another deer and seemed to have no trouble keeping up with it.

I was looking at new vehicles on Steele’s web sites over the weekend and on Sunday decided to visit a few of the closed dealerships to see certain ones they showed. I was surprised to find mostly a cluttered mess on the lots and very little of what I expected to find. For example, the GM dealer lot on Portland St was jammed up with Hyundais for some reason. I presume they must have a storage lot somewhere that holds their inventory. Anyone know where that might be?

I just moved here from Kelowna. I’m just wondering about the lack of Uber Eats drivers are here like I normally tip pretty well I tip $6 to $15 depending on KM. But it seems like it doesn’t matter how much you tip because when I open the Uber app there are multiple cars and then I can get an Uber driver within two minutes but when I try to Uber Eats, so why does it have to take me over 30 minutes to have food and it comes cold or tampered.
It’s ridiculous and some of us aren’t able to drive due to conditions to get the food we want.
Edit: they canceled my order.

This letter was sent to all families of students who qualify for bus passes today.
TL;DR - Bus passes are coming via HFXGO app "in the coming days".
Families,
You are receiving this message because your child is eligible for transportation under the Provincial School Transportation Policy.
The Halifax Regional Centre for Education provides transit passes for students attending five schools where public transit is a more practical transportation option than yellow school buses.
This year, student transit passes will be provided through Halifax Transit’s mobile fare payment app, HFXGO. Information about the rollout and how students can access their pass will be shared in the coming days.
Current student transit passes will remain valid until September 11, 2026. Students who require a replacement pass before that date may pick one up from their school office.
If you have any questions about your child's transit pass or student transportation services, please contact transportation@hrce.ca.
Thank you,
HRCE Transportation Team

I was pleasantly surprised just now when I opened the 6 pack of tissues I just picked up to see The Public Gardens on the box ❤️
There are other nice designs on other boxes but TPG hold a special place in my heart and always will. Thought I'd spread the joy. 😊
I'm looking for a Halifax (or Nova Scotia) coffee roaster who sells frac packs/small bags of coffee to use as a part of an attendee gift for an event. I would need about 50. Any recommendations?

Hello my name is Jackson. There is a lack of concerts and shows in Halifax including many fan favourite artists. I would unfortunately like to say a large majority of people were let down this year by Magnetic World Music Festivals lineup. That’s why me and a group of others have decided to start our own Rap festival in Halifax. We are currently looking for insight and sponsorships to help make this festival achievable and possible for our city. If you are someone with experience in festival hosting or music industry, or someone who is willing to sponsor such event please comment and dm! Our team has a dedicated sponsor board along with all of our festival information available upon request.
