Just recently switched it to a duel sport after having my Grom for 8 years. It’s been a blast so far. Little buzzy from the tires on the road but makes up for it off road

SF engine suffered sudden catastrophic total loss of oil while going highway speed. Seized up. Is there a direct bolt for bolt Chinese copy of the engine that requires no modification whatsoever?

Would it be more sensible to rebuild my current engine? I believe both the crankshaft and top end need repair.

Love the Grom. Couldn't stay without one. Bought my third OG Grom coincidentally, the third I've bought at $2100. This barn find, a 2015 Honda Grom, has only 924 miles, bone stock single owner, and is in pristine, scratch-free condition. It's complete with all dealer paperwork, the owner's manual, and both keys. The owner bought it as a divorce present to himself and didn't end up touching it. Just got some new tires and a couple mods for it.

Hey everyone! Hoping I could get some assistance from the more electrically inclined folks here!

I'm working on a 2019 Honda Grom that was stolen and then returned 6 months later. It got the typical break-in treatment.. The OEM ignition and the steering lock was drilled into, removed, and replaced.

I've ordered all the necessary replacement parts as well as some additional things, such as this alarm, an LED flasher relay, accessory relay (for heated grips), etc., and am planning on getting to work later today.

I am quite comfortable and experienced with working on electrical components and soldering, except looking at the wiring diagrams usually get me confused and anxious.

Could someone with some experience in this topic give me a 2nd pair of eyes?

1. I'm assuming that I'm supposed to be following the AC diagram above instead of the DC diagram underneath, simply because the replacement key ignition I have (3rd pic) has 4 wires instead of 2?
2. In the diagram, where is the blue "start" wire going?? It looks like it goes absolutely nowhere
3. What does it mean when it says "Cut" between the pink and white wires?

Well, I’ve kept you guys updated on this bike since I got it and I finally crossed the finish line. From a $1000 beater Grom to something that’s living room worthy. Super happy with how this turned out despite all the work 😅

I’m currently looking at buying a Honda Grom but I love the look of the SF gen because of the headlight and I hate the new one. If there is a conversion I could do to get the SF headlight styling it would significantly make it easier to find a grom near me I’d be interested in. Any help is appreciated

Hello everyone, my 2024 Honda Grom ABS suddenly started vibrating pretty badly above about 4,000 RPM, especially between 4,000 and 6,000 RPM. One day it was completely fine, and the next morning the vibration suddenly started.
It happens even when the bike is in neutral, so it doesn’t seem to be related only to the transmission or drivetrain. There’s also a lower-pitched rattling sound—not really a ticking noise. At idle, the engine sometimes feels slightly uneven or “lazy,” although the tach stays steady at around 1,300 RPM.
Has anyone experienced something similar? What ended up causing it, and how was it fixed?
I’m taking it to the shop on Tuesday to have it checked. From what I’ve been reading, possible causes could include an engine mount or something related to the cam chain/tensioner

Bought a cheap 1st gen grom. Ik cheap groms are cheap for a areas on idc I work on bikes for fun. Anyway one of the previous owners did some dumb stuff with the seat bracket. Can someone show me a pic of your frame and where the seat hooks in? Possibly measure the seat lock wire as well? You'd be a hero.

I have this super weird problem where the headlight randomly turns on or off. Random.. so i thought, when i pulling on the wires left of the frame it seems to occasionaly go on. I already reseated all connectors. Anyone ran in to this problem before?

I’m considering on getting either for commuting to work that is in the city and about 3.6 miles from where I live. Half of it is a 50mph area and then it’s the city so like 25mph. Should I get a Navi, grom, or some beater with shit ton of miles? Max I want to spend is $3k. I have a Camaro which is a gas guzzler so I’m considering options.

Random question, but for people that wear helmets or ride in general and have curly hair, does your hair get frizzy after? I work corporate and don’t want to look stupid showing up to work after riding.

Just bought this and everything’s working fine until I’m 3 miles up the road and it starts sputtering and now it’s just doing this!
Mind you the rains on the way home were insane so I feel it may need to dry, I know a bit of motorcycle mechanics but any Recs are appreciated!

I'm 6'2" 220 lbs and am thinking about getting a grom. Most roads I'd be on would 45-50 mph would a grom have enough power to get me up to speed in a reasonable time?

It runs normally but then it just cuts out I have taken off the spark plug and you clearly see that the spark just cuts out at a random time it doesn’t come back until you turn off and on the kill switch or ignition. Everything else works as it should. But have no clue why the spark dissapers some time when it is a lot of rpm changes it doesn cut out but when I’m holding a steady rpm it just cuts out and is really annoying when driving because I have to turn off and on the kill switch somebody help plz

Hey everyone, first post here. Looking for feedback on a local listing.

Seller originally listed at $3,200. I asked if it had any motor mods to go with the Hindle exhaust (valves, ECU flash, etc.), and they said it’s stock internal and lightly ridden. I passed at $3,200, but they just dropped the public listing to $2,950 four days later.

Given that my local market is pretty saturated with Groms, should I jump on $2,950, make a lower counter-offer, or wait to see if it drops further?
