No doctor is ever going to say it's 100% impossible because of their subsequent liability if the one in a zillion chance actually happens. However, if you look at the statistics, there are 72 post-hysterectomy pregnancies in the medical literature since the 1895 and 30 of them occurred soon enough after the hysterectomy that fertilization could've happened prior. There have been no reports that I can find of post-hyst pregnancy since 2009. There's 600k hysterectomies done every year in the US alone. The odds are staggeringly unlikely, especially now that fallopian removal is more standard as well as cervix removal. Without a way in or a place to implant, you'd be a true medical marvel to get pregnant.

It's as close to impossible as you can get without being entirely impossible. In medical history, there have been something like 70 cases, and most of them are presumed to be pregnancies that first began before the hysterectomy (like the patient already had an ectopic pregnancy, and it wasn't removed during the surgery).

I had just my fallopian tubes removed 5 years ago, I asked my gyno about pregnancy likelihood after having them removed. She didn’t want to say impossible, for liability reasons, but she said “although I hate to say it, it would be a miracle.” I view a medical professional as saying “miracle” as it’s impossible.

I’m a cis woman married to a cis man. Neither of us are using any other forms of contraception and no miracles have happened. Since I have more “parts” than you currently (my hysterectomy is scheduled for early next year), I think you’re good!

I lol’d at “no miracles have happened.”

At this point, 2 years later, the odds are extremely unlikely that this would happen. I think given that you are still this worried about it, some time with a therapist is warranted.
