I retook the picture because I thought the film had been damaged. I was pretty sure that wasn’t where the sun was, but after looking at other people’s photos with the sun in them, it does seem to be consistent with a sun black spot.

The camera chose a completely different light level for the second picture, giving it a lovely foggy glow. I ended up being really happy with both pictures, which do you prefer?

Hey yall! I have the Instax mini photo printer, and I’ve noticed lately the all the photos I’ve been printing with it have been much lighter and yellow toned. It almost looks faded and less contrast.

For example, the photo on the left was the first photo I printed with this and the one of the right is my most recent photo printed. Some images are worse (less contrast). I have the printer set in the app to the “rich color” and it still looks so different. Is it an issue with this particular pack of film, or should I be worried about the printer itself?

Hello! Trying to choose the best option out of these two (the wide glass is out of my budget).

I currently have the Lomo Instant Automat, so I’m tempted to stick with Lomography. I love the idea of having control, but I only really point and shoot with my Automat, though the option to turn off the flash is appealing. My worries with the Lomo Wide are the build quality and jamming issues I’ve heard about. And the viewfinder🥶.

I’ve heard the 400 is more consistent and reliable, and I’ve never tried an Instax branded camera, so I figure this would be my chance to do so. Image quality is important to me, but I don’t know which is better (I’ve heard cases for both). Any guidance would be appreciated! Thank you!

So hello! A few years ago I got the instax mini 11 for my birthday and I wanted to use it again. I think like 2 years ago it was still working but u haven’t used it since. I swapped out the batteries but it isn’t even turning on… anyone any idea?

I also changes the film and it just says S on the thing it says how much photos you have left..

I sued super alkaline batteries so idk if that helps? I put a photo somewhere so people might know qwq

Nun suche ich nach eine Möglichkeit,um ein Backup meiner Lieblingsbilder zu machen, falls mal eins verloren geht oder was auch immer. 😉

Dabei bin ich auf die Instax up-App gestoßen und finde es schonmal mega, dass ich dort meine Bilder einscannen kann. 👍

Aber kann man auch, von der App aus, die eingescannten Sofortbilder, z.B. mit einem Instax-Drucker, nochmal ausdrucken?

Oder gibt es eine andere Möglichkeit?

I decided to use my Instax Mini that had been stored away for at least a year.

I changed the cartridge to a fresh one, but the counter is stuck at S. It's not shooting out that first plastic cover that comes out the very first snap of the cartridge.

I figured it was a battery issue, so I swapped out for alkaline batteries. Now the aperture signs are ALL blinking, even when the lens is tucked in, and I still can't take any shots.

I've tried taking out the batteries while the camera is turned on, since that did the trick for some other folks in the subreddit, but that hasn't helped in my case.

Has anyone figured this out?

This broken Instax mini 8 was given to me as payment for a job that I was expecting. Money for. But this was 2 years ago.

I have been using an Instax mini 9 at events and around town in Toronto.

Today. I had a reason to finally get this camera fixed. Because I have a booking to play photographer at an event coming up here in toronto. So I went to my friend's place, a work shop in itself, where we took the time to get it working.

Some metal. A soldering iron. And a hot glue gun. Put it all back together. And just like that! After 2 years of sitting on a shelf. It's working!

It took 15 minutes of work.

But there is a reason!

It would be good to have a second camera at one of these events.

Once it was powered on and working I went and got some film.

TL;DR: Has anyone had their Instax film ruined by the new airport CT scanners?
Hi everyone! I’m flying from Montreal (YUL) to Valencia, Spain (VLC) soon and I’m bringing quite a bit of Instax film with me. I know you can request a hand check, but I’m travelling with multiple pieces of luggage, so I’d really like to avoid that if possible. Has anyone recently travelled through an airport with the new CT luggage scanners like the ones Montreal airport has while carrying Instax mini film? I’ve read that the new scanners can be more damaging to photographic film than the older X-ray machines.
My Instax films are all sealed in their boxes and the aluminum foil packaging. I’ll have both a carry-on and checked luggage. Which would be less damaging for the film, considering that my carry-on will have to go through the new YUL scanner? Would it be better to put the film in my checked luggage, or is the scanner for checked bags potentially even worse?
Also, I removed the AA batteries from my Instax camera. I assume I shouldn’t have any issues with carrying these batteries in my hand luggage, right?
And one last question: I also have a few Fujifilm QuickSnap disposable cameras, some still wrapped and some already unwrapped. Where would you recommend putting those, carry-on or checked luggage?
Any experience from people who have actually travelled with film through the new scanners and later used the film would be greatly appreciated!

Took out the Mini 99 while walking around Balboa. Always have to get a few shots of the banana stands

I was carrying it in my bag and i'm not sure if something happened to it. It was working fine last week, took it out next week and now the light is blinking. I used the same film as last week and it wont shoot, i replaced the film with a pack that i carry around in case i ran out. It still doesn't work, though it is worth to note that the box has been sitting in my bag for a while and it could've been damaged. On that note I do carry a laptop and I suspect that it may or may not put some kind of pressure on my instax but i doubt it would've done any significant damage to it. Bought it a new set of batteries and still nothing changed. Any advice?

Hey everyone, I have a hello kitty instax fuji film camera and I've had it for a while. I tried to take some test shots of my cats but it printed blank and it got stuck halfway through. I replaced the batteries and wanted to see if that would help it push through but it didn't. I tried pulling it out and it didn't budge. I decided to take out the film inside and see if I could manually push the photo through but it could only see the end of it almost coming out. I decided to just pull it out and then it did come out but with some ink spots on the side ( not too much). I then took a test shot again and it got stuck. I turned it off and then on again and the film finally got out but it was still blank (which i exposed it so no biggie). I took another test and it came out blank but with a little black line in the middle. I took another and it did print a picture of my cat but not too clear. And the rest were blank with some ink spots on the edges.

I put in a fresh ​film pack and I took more test shots using the different settings such as the indoor, outdoor, cloudy and the hi-key but they were all blank and the black line in the middle started to get thicker and thicker.

Is there any way to fix this? Is it the film or the camera. I bought like 20 pack like 7 years ago and the camera is almost 10 years old.

Update: I tried cleaning it with a q-tips and i think I've gone through 20 of them trying to clean it. I tried to clean some of the ink from the exit of the film too and more of the ink came out???? Is my camera done? Should I keep cleaning?
