The implosion of the Titan submarine (OceanGate) was so rapid that the pain wasn't even registered by the brain. They didn't feel anything at all. Utterly instantaneous.

They also heard a "pop" a second before the last signal. In the video you can hear them say "what was that".

There was no audio link between the sub and the surface. It was all text. Like, one line of text like a 90s cell phone. The “pop” was at the surface.

This is misleading, the people above the water heard that sound. For the people in the sub there was no warning. One moment every seems fine, the next eternal oblivion.

The was a warning "crack" sound, but it happened on the ascend of the previous dive. The sub should have been decommissioned after that, but the warning was ignored.

The loud warning crack was a delamination, that was also loud enough that it was also heard by those on the surface. But besides that, there were lots of crackling noises every dive, increasing after that delamination event. These were recorded by the acoustic sensors but there's testimony from people on the sub on past dives that they were also audible to them.

The people inside absolutely could hear the crackling noises, and it's reasonable to assume they got louder and more frequent before the implosion. There might have even been another major delamination or other stages causing a loud noise on board, seconds before the final implosion.

Most likely they knew what was coming, for at least a few seconds if not minutes.

That clip is terrifying. Old bearded man definitely felt there was something very wrong. The wife gives him a nervous smile asking "what was that bang", she gets a text message from the sub just after that. So she thinks everything is ok but grandpa has that gut feeling and you can see it on his face.
